WG Resort Cafe

Before Xmas 2019, I went for a weekday buffet lunch at MYR 68 nett with my friend. I only managed to eat 1 plate of savoury food and 1 plate of desserts.

I just went for the Western section and ignored the other 4 sections: Chinese, Indian, Middle Eastern and local cuisine. Deshelled prawns from 3 different dishes, asparagus, pumpkin, cherry tomatoes, capsicums, zucchini, mushrooms, a slice of cheese, a slice of roast beef which was too tough for me, and a piece of lamb.

My friend took some fish meat for me.

My plate of desserts with 2 sticks of beef satay and 1 piece of deep fried pumpkin coated with salted egg yolk. Took one teaspoonful of each ice cream - coconut, corn, strawberry and green tea, two mini fruit tarts, 1 small piece of cheese cake and brownie and 3 pieces of different nyonya kuihs: bingka ubi kayu, cendol agar agar and corn seri muka. Was very full after that.

So wash it all down with half a cup of hot tea.

Resort Cafe at Sunway Resort Hotel next to Sunway Pyramid.

  1. That's one HUGE plate and an attractive looking one at it. Love the colours. I wouldn't regard satay as a dessert though. LOL!!!

  2. I think 2 plates of buffet is just nice. Don't want to over stuff the tummy. Me too, I would go for the Western section.

I normally take a bit on my plate, finish them first and then I will go again to take another bit. Me weird one... if I see too much on my plate, I automatically feel full already!.. LOL..

  4. Oh wow, there's one big plate of food! I can probably finish only a quarter of that, which is why I don't eat buffet. Happy 2019, Mun! xoxo

    1. It is full of vegetables with very little meat so it is not that filling.

  5. I dun eat buffet unless it is paid by the company or sponsored ;-)
Although I can wallop, but I dun prefer so much variety in one meal. My stomach doesn't feel good after having a variety of food although despite taken in small quantity. I think I have been here before, but the restaurant name seems different.

    1. This is true so I was very careful with what I ate that day. Mostly vegetables, only a bit of meat.

  9. Whoa! Your plates were loaded! I see that you can actually eat when the occasion calls for it LOL! Me very bad habit. When I am at a buffet I go for 3 rounds of mains and 2 rounds of desserts until I am so stuffed!

  11. Haha buffets are wasted on you. But it's fun right to be able to eat a bit of anything you fancy.
