HK Boy Cart Noodle

HK pork noodle at MYR 18.90++ (10% service charge and 6% SST), add MYR 1++ for "doggie noodle" = MYR 23.08 nett. The deep fried rolled bean curd sheets were very crispy and they did the right thing by serving them in a separate bowl and not soaking them in the broth of the bowl of noodle.

Cart Noodle at MYR 11.90++, add MYR 1++ for "doggie noodle" = MYR 14.96 nett. The liver slices are served separately in a wine ginger based broth.

"Doggie noodle" turns out to be quite similar to udon.

The liver slices are thick and tender - very tasty!

We did not mix and match to have a customised bowl of noodles. Instead we just chose the "Dirty" Noodle at MYR 19.90++, add MYR 0.50++ for HK egg noodle = MYR 23.66 nett. It has daikon, fish balls, intestines, blood cubes and pork skins.

I only tried one piece of these thick intestines and it was acceptable to me because they have been cooked in a herbal broth similar to bak kut teh so the herbal taste is there to cover up any unpleasant smell. But some people may beg to differ as one of my friends tried a piece and spat it out because of the strong intestine smell (according to her).

I also tried some blood cubes and found them to be soft like tofu with no unpleasant taste. So if you want to try blood cubes, you can visit this eatery at the Pavilion Mall because they are just like tofu.

Cart Noodle with 3 ingredients at MYR 13.90++, add MYR 2++ for tomato broth = MYR 18.44 nett.

Cham or Ying Yong (coffee mixed with tea) at MYR 6.90++ (MYR 8 nett). We like this drink because it was smooth and tasted quite chocolaty. Putting ice on the outside makes the drink cold but not diluted so it is a plus point.

Total Bill for 4 pax is MYR 88.15 nett. Average per pax is MYR 22.03 nett. We may be back because it is fun to mix and match the ingredients, types of noodles and also the type of broth.

  1. Drooling at the thick and tender liver slices. The blood cubes are actually rather tasteless, first time I heard of doggie noodle or dirty noodle

  5. Liver! I love it but I am not too sure about the blood. I think there is one outlet in Damansara Uptown.

  8. I don't think I want the doggie or dirty noodles. I will just order the beancurd crisps and the drink.

    1. They have other ingredients which may be to your liking - like meat balls.
