Lost and Found

I mentioned this dish in my previous post and now that the photos have reappeared, I am posting it here.

 What I wrote then was:
"I have tried their Garlic Shrimp Spaghetti with Goo Leng Ping drink (MYR14.90++ 10% service charge and 6% GST = MYR17.40 back then. Now the price is MYR15.90++). I did not really know what Goo Leng Ping was when I ordered it. Turned out to be a rose syrup with milk drink. The pasta was a bit too al dente for my liking."

Garlic Shrimp Spaghetti sprinkled with parmesan cheese (eaten in 2015)

Whole set with the Goo Leng Ping drink

  1. Sometimes I like to eat Spaghetti, one plate is not enough, I can eat two plates

  2. I remembered your Tappers and Goo Leng Ping meals. I still rant about this rose syrup milk as I could not believe that it is called Ais Bandung yet it is unheard of in Bandung, Bali, Yogyakarta and Jakarta!! LOLOL
Anyways, please try the Penang version on your next visit at Kek Seng as many old timers from Penang who have migrated still worship this drink served there.

    1. If I know it has milk I wouldn't order it then because I am lactose intolerant.

  3. Goo Leng Ping means iced milk in Hokkien. Rose syrup? I guess that is something like air Bandung. Loved that when I was young, ice cold, so refreshing on our hot school sports day. Those days, they used Grenadine with evaporated milk. These days, I do not go for drinks with milk - makes me sleepy, dunno why.

    1. Creamy sauce is for carbonara. So for pasta you always order carbonara?

    2. True. Just buy rose syrup and milk and freeze some water into ice.

  9. I wonder how many actually thinks this was something you have eaten earlier this week or maybe last week...

I don't like overcooked pasta, unless if it is my own home cooking (because I'm a terrible cook and cannot control). But the pasta has to be cooked through lah, if still got crunch will give me the case like I had last night...

    1. Raw pasta won't give you diarrhea. Must be some raw meat in your pasta. I did write clearly eaten in 2015, hehehe.
