For the four of us, our bill came up to MYR 48.90 for the 3 dishes shown in the photos below and a pot of tea for four (MYR1 per pax) with 3 plates of rice at MYR1.3 each. As usual I don't eat rice for dinner.
Steamed fish head - MYR24 - tasty but need to be careful of the fish bones.
Blanched chinese spinach (yin choy) with special request not to add oil or soy sauce - MYR7 only.
Deep fried tofu - MYR10 and the tofu is actually not as big as it looks in the photo and it is served just like that, without any sauce.

No. 1, Jalan 2/128a
Happy Garden, Off Kuchai Lama
Without any sauce? Could it turns out to be very dry?
ReplyDeleteI am also surprised why they didn't provide any sauce as normally other restaurants will give sauce for this dish. It is crispy outside and soft silky inside so it is not very dry.
DeleteIs it plain as no sauce?
ReplyDeleteIt has minced meat on top of the tofu so it is not that plain.
DeleteI don't mind taufu without sauce.
ReplyDeleteMe too, in fact I don't like my food with sauce.
Deleteverdict? Nice ya?
ReplyDeleteGot eat Meng Kee in Happy Garden or not Their wantan mee and sui kow nice
The fish head is nice. For the ginger fish head there is a strong alcohol taste. Yes I have eaten Meng Kee wantan mee and previously blogged about it here already. The noodle is a bit too firm for me.
