EkoCheras Mall

Two of us visited a new mall, EkoCheras Mall that opened nearly a year ago. Luckily we brought our prepaid Touch and Go card because the mall implemented a cashless parking system which mandates the use of this card. My friends at work says that the Karaoke Manekineko at this mall has a very good sound system. The weekend rate from 11 am to 1 pm is MYR 15+ 6% SST (MYR 15.90 nett) for 3 hours. One of the popular cafe here is NanYang Cafe.

We ordered our food based on this list.

NanYang Pork Burger with Fries at MYR 15.90++ (10% service charge and 6% SST = MYR 18.45 nett). I ordered this burger because I wanted to eat fries and they did not disappoint. The fries were better than those served in fast food chains because they were fleshier. I like the pork burger because of the thin hard dry slice of flavourful pork chop which tastes almost like the pork chop in macau pork burger.

Pork knuckle wanton noodles at MYR 13.90++ (MYR 16.12 nett). Best eaten with the pickled green chilies provided. My friend did not like the strong alkaline taste of the noodles but since I have a high threshold for the alkaline taste, I could not detect it and I had to help my friend by finishing the noodles so I was very full after this meal and did not need to eat any dinner for this day.

A glass of milk tea and a glass of mixed tea and coffee at MYR 5.90++ (MYR 6.85 nett) each. Both drinks are cold enough so they taste good.

We then spotted this colourful sign that says "Nyonya Famous".

Oh, it is a nyonya eatery.

So my friend bought nasi lemak crispy chicken for dinner at MYR 16.90 nett. The chicken is fresh and the spices are tastily strong.

Our two receipts. I don't think we will visit this mall again because we prefer to go to Midvalley Mall for our weekly grocery run although the parking rate is very much better at MYR 2.12 nett per entry during Sunday.

  3. I've never been to Eko Cheras yet...not sure when I will go...although my relatives live nearby. MidValley is my default mall, followed by IOI City and IOI Puchong...other than that it will just be once in a blue moon....

  5. Cashless can be a problem since our systems are not synchronised and not everyone has one in the first place. If you'd 'upgraded' to RFID then cannot enter this mall...

    1. upgraded to RFID can still keep the physical TnG card, right?
