- a two-course set lunch at MYR 28++ (10% service charge and 6% SST = MYR 32.5 nett) and
- a three-course set lunch at MYR 35++ (MYR 40.6 nett).
Ben's House Salad - lettuce, arugula, avocado, cherry, tomatoes, edamame, walnuts, 7-seed mix with Ben's signature dressing which is a bit sweet, light and tangy. This is my favourite dish for this lunch and it is suitable for vegetarians as it contains no meat.
Chicken Cos Salad - Grilled Chicken Breast, Cos Lettuce aka Romaine Lettuce, Crispy Chicken Bacon Bits, Avocado, Edamame, dried cranberries, Baby Spinach in Ranch Dressing. My friend does not like this salad because the ranch dressing tastes rich and creamy so I was tasked to eat it all which is fine by me since I like to eat salad but I would prefer it to be with a lighter dressing.
Nasi Kerabu Ayam Percik with budu sauce and pickled garlic. Luckily the portion is not large. I ate a bit of each item and found them to be tasty and my friend finished it.
Fish and Chips - there are two pieces of fish so I kept one and most of the fries for another meal. The fish is not dory but I did not ask what fish it is. The meat is a bit salty, white and flaky. My friend likes it.
Drinking water is provided foc. The ice lemon tea is freshly prepared with lemon slices and mint in the drink. I forgot to request for no syrup so the ice lemon tea is sweet. Dessert is apple crumble or pulut hitam and I selected apple crumble. It is very tasty, especially the buttery pastry and zesty apple fillings.
Total bill for two pax: MYR 73.10 nett.
Ben's at the Gardens Mall. Back in 2016, it looks a bit different.
Which dishes will you choose? Two or Three course?
Duck Confit or Fish and Chips for me. As for starter, I would choose Mushroom Soup as I am not really a salad person. Two course is without dessert?
ReplyDeleteoh for two course you can choose to have a dessert and a main meal.
DeleteOh, so no starter.
Deletetwo course means a main and you choose to have either a starter or a dessert.
DeleteOh i see thanks for clarifying
