WG Sopoong

My lunch set: Bibimbap, Steamed egg, iced green tea and 3 banchans (kimchi cucumbers, kimchi cabbage, macaroni vege salad) at MYR 23 nett. I kept a lot of the rice and kimchi for dinner and shared the steamed eggs with my friends. The rice is very tasty because it is slightly sticky, fat and round. I chose this Bibimbap because it has a variety of vegetables, a cooked egg yolk and none of those very flavourful sauce.

This is the branch at Starling Mall.

Dinner with my friends at the branch in MyTown Mall. I did not order a set but shared the food. Ramen and Toppoki Set - MYR 20.80 nett.

Kimchi Jigae Beef - MYR 21.45 nett. My friend says this is very tasty.

A portion of pan fried 5 dumplings at MYR 11.55 nett. I feel that the filling is too finely minced.

Pancake at MYR 16.40 nett. I consider this pancake to be very thick when compared to this one that I ate before. My friends could not finish it so I had to stuffed myself in order not waste it as I did not bring my trusted container with me. Although it is thick, I quite like it.

Steamed egg at MYR 9.80 nett. The texture is very different from chawanmushi but I like both equally.

Total Bill for 3 pax: MYR 82.50 nett so it was about MYR 27.50 nett per pax.

Sopoong branch at MyTown Mall. Sopoong is 소풍 which means Picnic.

  1. I like the pancakes and kimchi, i have tried toppoki before, it is not to my liking, maybe because it is too chewy and hard to eat

  6. I went once and never returned. I think I had the bibimbap same as you. Since your friend said the Kimchi Jigae Beef is good, I might want to go back and eat that.

    1. Oh so you did not like the bibimbap because it has no sauce I suspect. Opposite as me.

  9. Wow! All your Korean food is calling me. I learnt to cook Kimchi Jigae when my room mate taught me. It is so easy and nice.
