WG Pumpkin

My friend wanted to eat at BMS Organics, Midvalley Mall again so I accompanied her. They have a compact menu now which is just 1 sheet of cardboard with 2 pages (front and back).

It was on a Thursday where they were having this "member eat free" promotion. Pay MYR 30 nett to be a member and then on every Monday and Thursday, buy an item with the minimum price of MYR 10 nett and choose one dish from a selected list of about 6 dishes for lunch on the house (free).

Though my friend eats here regularly but she is not sure of the days she will eat here so both of us did not pay to be members. As I don't think I have ordered this Brown Rice with Pumpkin dish before, I had it this time at MYR 12.90 nett. The Brown Rice turned out to be fried rice with organic vegetarian soy sauce which is quite fragrant. As the rice has been stir fried with soy sauce, I could not tell whether it is Brown Rice as stated on the menu or not. With the soy sauce I find the rice to be very flavourful. I would prefer it to be just plain Brown Rice with more cubes of pumpkin and more vegetables on the side. Nevertheless I may have this dish again should my friend decides to eat here next time.

Update: 7 April 2018 - I ordered this dish again at the Starling Mall branch. The price is the same at MYR 12.90 nett but the pumpkin is cooked in a different style which I also like but the rice is on the hard side and is quite dry so I think I will have to order another item the next time we eat here.

  2. my girls do like to egg pumpkin if I were to sauteed it like other vegetable..probably they would like it in tempura or fried the cube pumpkin like this.
