  1. It is not very right for them to ask for 13 when it is 12.95 even though it is just a small difference of 0.05.

    1. Technically it is not right. Normally I would ask for the 5 cents back but this cashier used to give discounts so I just let it go. How do you like Watsons angpow packets?

  2. I hear if you eat out at the Chinese places during Chinese New Year, they will jack up the prices. They never used to open until one kampua guy did one year selling at RM10 a plate and people queued up to eat - especially those who came back from afar. A lot of people joined in and opened as well and prices dropped to RM5.00 a plate. I noticed yesterday that a lot were open but I did not go to eat so I'm not sure if they still increase the prices like before or not.

    1. Here those places without a fixed menu may increase the price a little.

  3. A mix and match of eating out and eating in. That's nice. How did the boozy bak kwa taste?

    1. the bak kwa is not too sweet nor too salty. It has a tinge of bitter taste due to the Guinness beer I think.

  6. I've also gone for roti canai heh. Good thing about CNY is having a nice stretch without work or school hence have time to go out for breakfast.

Thumbs up from me for the Watson's angpow, very striking.
