Salted Egg Yolk Burger

We have a MYR 5 discount voucher for myBurgerLab so we bought two burgers - A basic Burger Lab Beef Burger at MYR 14.90 nett and we added one slice pineapple ring for MYR 2.50 nett.

Then I noticed their salted egg yolk chicken burger named Ultraman (MYR 19.80 nett) and asked if they have a salted egg yolk beef burger and they replied no. They stressed that the salted egg yolk sauce does not taste good with beef patties but I insisted so they relented and changed the chicken to beef by charging me an extra MYR 2 nett.

My special salted egg yolk beef burger (MYR 21.80 nett). I enjoyed eating this burger although the strong taste of beef does compete with the strong taste of the salted egg yolk for my attention. This salted egg yolk sauce is different from those in Lao Sar Bao. I believe some curry powder has been added to it to make it stand out as a savoury sauce instead of being on the sweet side.

Total Bill for 2 burgers: MYR 34.20 nett after deducting MYR 5

On my previous visit, my friends ordered the above burger sets and they were given a MYR 5 discount voucher which they then gave to me.

They tried 3 side dishes to go with their burgers. I did not know how much the above costs.

I just ate half a basic BurgerLab burger that time because it was during dinner and usually I don't take such heavy dinner.

  1. What happened to the other half then? Can you keep it till tomorrow with the sauce all in it already?

    1. my big eater friend ate the other half. sometimes I do keep the burger in the fridge. the sauce will soak somewhat into the bun so will be a bit soggy but I don't mind that.

  2. These days, it is salted egg yolk everything and more often than not, over-rated, not anything really great to shout about...like the salted egg yolk croissant at one time, and more recently the salted egg yolk fish skin.

  3. I miss the Ultraman burger! as for the 'side dish + refillable drinks', need to top up RM7.50 (that was in 2016, now I tink may have slight increase)

  10. I like their burgers! I prefer them not to be black colour which is a growing trend now.
