Lavender Cheese Tart

Previously, I mentioned that the Lavender bakery is also selling cheese tarts at MYR6 nett each.

There they are. Two trays just fresh out from the oven. Too bad I just can't bring myself to fork out MYR6 nett for one because I am not convinced that it is worth it. I know Stacy has tried these. Anyone else? Is the taste worth the price?

My cousins from Kuching were in town and they went there - bought me one to try, RM4.50 each. Was all right - the filling was like cheese cake, the rich wobbly ones that I am not fond of. Lovers of those cakes would love it!

    1. Wobbly cheese cake would mean non-baked cheese cakes. I don't like to eat non-baked cheese cakes. I only eat baked cheese cakes.

  2. I've heard great things about the fruit bread at Lavender but have not yet tried their cheesecake.

  3. The only way to be convinced is buy one and try...even if it's RM6...just once and you'll know for sure it's worth it! ;D

    1. No, I am not going to try ever because this cheese tart is not their specialty. They only got onto the band wagon due to Tokyo Secret and etc coming to our shores. Would rather save my money to try Pablo's when it opens here.

  5. To charge RM6 for a cheese tart, I will expect it to taste really yummy.

  6. Me too. I am not so crazy over such stuff and I have budget to think about. Would not simply spend here and there.

  7. Here in SG, I don't mind spending S$2 on a Chewy Junior white chocolate puff once in a while so I think spending RM6 for a nice cheese tart is okay for me, different standard of living

  11. They SMELL heavenly. I didn't think I'd want to have another one, but if they keep displaying fresh hot trays like that... might just cave one day!

    1. What about the taste and texture? I think you should go try the ones from Tokyo Secret instead if you want to buy this next time.
