What do you do when you would like to eat something and the queue is too long? You order a takeaway of course! :D
3 Crispy BBQ Pork Buns in a box for MYR10.90++ - just place your order at the cashier counter and pay. Then take a walk somewhere for 15 minutes and return to collect it. You must eat the buns immediately after you have collected them or else they would not taste that good.
I'd go some place else... Nothing can be that good as to make me queue for it and tapao-ing may not be the best solution - usually not so nice already. Everyone should boycott such places - jolt them back to reality! This is becoming such a trend among the young - so fashionable to queue for something and while their time away on their smartphones. So much time on their hands. Darn silly, I would say.
ReplyDeleteBut in Japan, there are always long queue for good food.
DeleteCrispy char siew buns? Looks good.. The filling must be sweet and juicy.. Must eat while it's still hot like you said..
ReplyDeleteYes the fillings are more to the sweet side. True, must eat while it is still hot and crispy.
DeleteHmm. Must be so delicious that everyone willing to wait in long queue. Wonder how it taste and look inside? Sweet?? Like char siew pau?
ReplyDeleteYes, it is sweet.
DeleteMun, I am sure it must be very tasty in order to attract a long queue. I like char siew pau.
ReplyDeleteI would say it is different from normal char siew pao so that could be the novelty of it.
DeleteUsually, when there's a queue...it means the food is good, otherwise who would want to Q. I'd still want to try the food...but very much later....when the Q dies down ;)
ReplyDeleteMaybe when the outlet at One Utama opens, there will be no queue there.
DeleteI always thought most KL people are like me, very impatient with long queues. But when I saw Tim Ho Wan that other day (actually quite a number of other famous restaurants there), I think I am the odd one. Apparently most KL people wouldn't mind insane queue for food.
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued with the food quality of this place. Maybe one day I will get to try the crispy char siew pau like you bought. Hopefully I won't be disappointed.
Hopefully their standard does not drop over time.
DeleteThere's one opening at 1-U. I should try it to see what is so special about Tim Ho Wan.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the one at 1-U will have a shorter queue and I can go and eat there. Can't wait to read your review after you have tried it but the higher your expectation, the harder it will fall as they say.
Deletehmm...i tot of ta-pau this bun to enjoy at home, but then thinking again, the crust will turn soft after a while...so that kills off my intention!
ReplyDeleteIt will definitely be soft so better eat it immediately if you tapao.
DeleteIsh.. I still havent got the chance to dine here :(
ReplyDeleteWhen the outlet at one utama opens, you can dine there for sure. :)
DeleteQuite pricey wor for 3 buns. But guess it's a famous restaurant price is like that
ReplyDeleteAround MYR3.65++ for a bun is cheaper than the price for a macaroon.
DeleteI still have not eaten in these restaurants yet and I know their food is excellent with good reviews.
ReplyDelete3 buns for RM10.90 is quite normal KL standard now. I would pay as long as it is good.
Hope you will find it nice when you finally try the food at this place.
