Wow, I do not know the difference between mee bandong, mee rebus or mee jawa. Princess Ribbon seems to get a clue from your answer because she got it right.
but I don't find this messy at all.. messy to me is like the one who cooks it "campak" (yes, no other word describe this best) everything from preparation to serving, and things do not look neat but are dripping or dropping..
this one, it's the way it is, things are in order just that it may not look quite presentable but I guess the one who cooked it didn't "campak" things at all, haha!! no intentional garnishing or presentation but giving it it's real look, "organic" I would say.. hahahaha!!!
That's a great title for that dish.
ReplyDeleteHaha, thanks! :D
DeleteMee Bandong...or aka mee rebus. Doesn't look like mee jawa. Sure looks good, I think I would like it.

DeleteI cheated, haha, I see STP's comment first, hehe.. Looks like mee rojak la, with eggs..
ReplyDeleteYou are right! But STP did not mention mee rojak so why did you say you cheated?
Deletemee rojak that is??

Yes. Your argument is solid so I would like to see what kind of meals you would refer to as messy. ;p
DeleteIs that mee rojak? Specifically Mee Rojak Sabah! I cheated...I googled...and found a pic that looked like yours! :D
ReplyDeleteYes, it is. I did not know that there are subcategories of mee rojak. How is Mee Rojak Sabah different from the normal mee rojak?
DeleteI don't really know the difference but when I googled...there's mee rojak Sabah, Melaka, Jawa and Mamak.
DeleteI have eaten mee jawa, mee rebus and mee goreng mamak before but not mee Sabah and Melaka.
DeleteYup yup. Look like mee rojak to me. If curry mee, the gravy would not be too dark.
ReplyDeleteIndeed it is messy but who care. As long as it tasted great! ^^
Wow, you are really an expert when it comes to mee. Since you put it that way, I guess you like to eat mee rojak too.
DeleteWow! I had to stare at it so long!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Mee rebus!!
No, not mee rebus, it is mee rojak. Very good, I see you are using what SK taught us in his post, italics and bold. :)
DeleteIf those are eggs then mee rojak lah, but they look like buns to me..
ReplyDeleteYes, those are eggs, not buns so mee rojak it is.
DeleteLook like rojak mee, those Indian style rojak which I love!
ReplyDeleteAha, so you like mee rojak too! You got it right!
DeleteLooks like the mee rojak that the mamak man serves in my area. As long as it is tasty, i wouldn't mind the messy look...lol..
ReplyDeleteThis mee rojak is tasty.
DeleteMee Rebus?
ReplyDeleteMee Rojak.
DeleteRojak has mee one? Wow! that's a first time for me! Nice?
ReplyDeleteYes, it is tasty. It is just adding yellow mee to the rojak.
DeleteMee rojak is one of my favs too :)
ReplyDeleteIt is tasty no doubt! :)
