Compare the mee in my previous post here with this plate below - do they look similar? which one looks more appetising?
This plate of Hokkien mee is said to be one of the best in town. I think it costs around MYR12.90 (I was told that it may just costs about MYR11.80 but that person wasn't sure either. If I were to go there again, I will find out for sure) and is from the Kim Lian Kee stall in Lot 10 Hutong Food Court. The main outlet is at Petaling Street.
Wow!! So expensive for a plate of Hokkien Mee!!
ReplyDeleteMall's floor court price is like that - more expensive.
DeleteI find this really overpriced and taste wise, nothing to shout about....not really worth the long queue...but I've never tried the original stall in Petaling Street though...
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could try the original stall that opens at night only. Not the nice shop in Petaling Street but an old stall there.
DeleteMy FAVOURITE!!!...yes....this stall have a very good name
ReplyDeleteNow I know.
DeleteBtw...if you ever go Kenanga warehouse city ...go to 6/ or was it 7th floor. The Hokkien mee there very sedap
ReplyDeleteOk. Thanks for the recommendation. Will keep this in mind. Is it open during daytime?
DeleteI've had that one, also the one in the Pavillion food court and Ave K food court. Pricy but oh well, the 'wok breath' isn't something you can duplicate at home.
ReplyDeleteVery true. We don't want to fill our kitchen at home with smoke so most definitely cannot get "wok hei" without smoke.
