Chee Cheong Fun with 5 pieces of Yong Tau Foo in curry gravy at MYR 11.90 nett.
Pulau Ketam Yong Tau Foo at The Gardens and Midvalley Mall.
There are many varities of yong tau foo to choose from. This stall is located at LG, Midvalley/Gardens Mall near to KGB Burger.
The menu divides the items into 4 groups: Noodle set, Chee Cheong Fun set, Rice set and Ala Carte. Under each group except for the ala carte group, one can have 3 or 4 or 5 pieces of Yong Tau Foo with curry or with clear soup. 1 piece of YTF from the ala carte section costs MYR 1.80 nett.
We always buy the chee cheong fun with 5 pieces of YTF set with curry gravy because we prefer to eat chee cheong fun than rice even though the price for the rice set is lower than the ccf set.
That looks really good! I prefer clear soup though.
ReplyDeleteGoes well with curry too.
DeleteLong time didn't have yong tau fu. Not cheap though. Of course, depends on how many you take.
ReplyDeleteIn other eateries, one piece is about MYR1.50 nett.
DeleteI have eaten the YTF from this stall a few years ago. Didn't realise it is Pulau Ketam YTF...and I didn't know that Pulau Ketam is famous for its YTF.
ReplyDeleteI have not been to Pulau Ketam island so I don't know what it is famous for. I just eat this YTF without caring about the shop name.
DeleteI like the YTF there, the curry gravy is quite nice.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about the curry gravy.
DeleteI have never had CCF with curry gravy. It must be nice.
ReplyDeleteIt is a nice combination. You can try it one day to see whether you like it or not.
DeleteOh, I thought you would be showing the post on crabs.. hahaha... Yes, CCF with curry is nice!
ReplyDeleteHahaha ketam is crab so no wonder you though that way.
DeleteI have visited Pulau Ketam 2-3 times and love the tranquil & laid back lifestyle where I had to rent a bicycle to explore the fishing village on stilts. It is so unique that my Swedish bil loves bringing all his guests to visit that island. You bet, all the ang moh loved that island too not because of the dirty waters but houses and roads on stilts and freshest seafood & YTF!!!
ReplyDeleteSo you confirm Pulau Ketam has tasty YTF with the paste fillings made from the freshest seafood as in fish!
DeleteSaw the word "Ketam", expecting to see seafood post. The chee cheong fun with yong tau foo looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteSame as Claire.
DeleteI usually see this type of food in a kiosk within a food court rather than an individual shop. But it has been a while since I have seen this.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, this is a big kiosk within a food court but in Paramount Garden, PJ, there is a shop which sells ytf and congee.
