WG Foodie Nest Changes

We went to the food court at Starling Mall and noticed that some stalls are no longer there.

The vacant stall with the black sign boards used to be occupied by KOM's by Kompassion as reviewed by PH here. I did not even get to try their food and now they are gone.

Another eatery that is no longer there is Teo Chew Curry Laksa (by Mr. Fish) which I have tried once.

This time I decided to try the chee cheong fun and fried chicken set from the LFC stall. LFC stands for Lim Fried Chicken.

Then I looked at their menu and saw the mutton curry rice set and changed my mind and ordered that instead of the fried chicken. Please click on the above menu for a larger image. The chee cheong fun and fried chicken costs MYR 13 nett. Next time I plan to order from the ala carte menu - chee cheong fun MYR 4 and add on mutton for MYR 6. I wonder if they will allow me to do that or they will tell me that add on is only available if I buy from the set menu.

Mutton Curry rice set with cabbage, sambal and a bowl of curry gravy at MYR 12 nett. The mutton curry is tasty with tender mutton although it does not look good from the photo. The cabbage is soft and naturally sweet. I kept half for dinner as usual.

  1. I think if order from the ala carte menu, the add on mutton will cost RM13.

I like what you had, the soft and sweet cabbage with curry mutton rice

  2. Times are hard, lots of places closing down but just as many opening here and there...or here, at least but nothing really nice, not that I know, though some may be crowd-pullers. One man's meat, another man's poison, I guess.

  5. I have been going there from time to time and this place still enjoys full capacity of customers. The diners tend to eat only few stalls like Annie-1 and etc etc. Their Kopi Ping is good! One new Taiwanese stall will open soon.

I must try this mutton curry rice!

    1. I prefer to go to the main Annie 1 shop outside the mall to eat.

  6. Yes, I went up the other day and noticed these changes. There's also a stall that sells lui cha. Ah, since you like the mutton curry, I must give it a try.
