I have read about the tasty and juicy pork chop at Ante a few years ago and just recently I went there for lunch with my friend. I ordered pork striploin set lunch at MYR 25.90 nett which includes a glass of fresh lemon drink that is slightly sweet. I find the mashed potatoes to be very creamy and buttery.
The pork chop is very thick but just tender enough. I just ate the thin strip that I cut out and kept the rest for my spouse. He ate the rest and said he preferred eating siu yuk (roast pork) to pork cooked in this style.
Total bill for 2 pax (lunch set) - MYR 45.80 nett at Ante, One Utama.
By the look of your pic, the pork looks dry, to me la as I always eat my meat medium rare :D
ReplyDeletePork you also dare to eat medium rare? I thought mostly beef is eaten that way but not mutton or pork or chicken.
DeleteLooks good, nice for a change. Sometimes we just boil the pork (and use the stock for lovely clear soup) and eat like that, sweet, enjoy the taste of the meat.
ReplyDeleteI like to eat lean pork like this rather than fatty pork bits.
DeleteI love Pork Chops but prefer mine thin & slightly charred. xoxo
ReplyDeleteThose HK char chan teng pork chops style?
DeleteSame like your husband, I prefer to eat siew yoke too :)
ReplyDeletetaste is less boring I guess.
DeleteWow! So thick. I would like it tender. Go soft on my teeth. ^^
ReplyDeleteI also prefer it to be more tender but must be cooked properly.
DeleteI prefer siu yoke too...with crispy edges...haha
ReplyDeleteyou too!
DeleteI too prefer siu yuk! The meat too thick for me.
ReplyDeleteyou three!
DeleteYep I'd prefer siu yoke too hehe. This pork chop looks a bit plain. Thinking of the ones in Kim Gary, at least better-marinated.
ReplyDeleteyou four! sometimes the marinated is to hide the not fresh taste.
