My friend bought this snack made from glutinous rice flour and cane sugar from Chin Hiang Chay bakery in Kuching. I have eaten this snack when I was a child. It is usually wrapped in pink paper. Have you eaten this before?
From Kuching? Never tried any from there but I think I have eaten the ones here except that it was not in this shape and spotted sparingly with toasted sesame seeds.
I've eaten this before but I did not know it is made of glutinous rice flour. Now I know. Thank you :D

ReplyDeleteI don't think it is the same then because this is solid hard, not soft. I suspect the one you mentioned above is soft.
DeleteYes. As a child.
ReplyDeletefrom this shop?
DeleteYes, I can remember. That was a long, long time ago! Lol!
ReplyDeletefeel like eating it again?
DeleteEat until the whole lips become white, right? I think I know too.. LOL...
ReplyDeleteI guess the lips could turn white from the white powder after the snack is chewed.
DeleteI think have eaten before, but your picture isn't that clear and may be jogging the wrong memory haha.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard and turns powdery when you bite it.
DeleteYes must have had it before then. Not a common thing now, guess people don't really like it.
DeleteI think old school bakeries may still have it.
DeleteYes! I remember these from my childhood. Haven't seen these in ages, in fact I have forgotten all about it.
ReplyDeletewant to eat it again?
