A pie for me.
Gourmet Steak and Cheese Pie - NZD4.20 (about MYR11.50 now) with flaky pastry. The taste is very rich and cheesy until after eating half a pie, I got satiated but it is delicious.
Look at the creamy cheese and chocolaty gooey steak sauce.
Richoux Patisserie http://www.richouxpatisserie.co.nz/ - an award winning pie shop. I wanted to try many other types of pie especially the Chicken Cranberry & Camembert pie but this shop is closed on Sundays and it closed at 4.30 pm on weekdays when I am still at work so I only got to try one pie on one Saturday. So sad.
They have great pies there. I prefer shortcrust pastry though.
ReplyDeleteShortcrust pastry would be even more filling.
DeleteHmm... looks quite small though. I thought Aussie/NZ pies are hugeeeeee :/
ReplyDeleteIf you order a pie listed as a main dish in a restaurant, then it is huge. These are just pies sold in a pastry shop. It is the quality that counts more for me, not the size. The beef and cheese filling is so tasty!
DeleteI heard that the pies in Australia and NZ are very good.
ReplyDeleteThe fillings are very tasty! I know it is so cliche but the beef there are much more delicious than the wagyu beef that I ate here. Like TM says, the moon overseas is brighter and bigger, hahahaha!
DeleteWow! Look at that! Cheese oozing out of the steak pie. Yums!
ReplyDeleteI love pies very much when their pastries are nicely done to crisp layered perfections. Sometimes we get pies here that looked like kari-pap pastries which were not layered. Bluek!
I am very careful when I eat pies locally. Have to go for those pies that have very good review else may be disappointed.
DeleteLooks good.. chunks of meat inside... yummsssss!
ReplyDeleteTastes good too!
Deleteu like cheesy stuffs? I only enjoy cheesy pizza. But steak pie is a yes! (without the cheese)
ReplyDeleteYes, I like to eat cheese a lot!
DeleteLooks so yummy, with the cheese oozing out, I would love to try it
ReplyDeleteIf me, I want to try the chicken one, cos I don't take beef
DeleteI have never been to Australia and NZL, so I had never tried their pies before
DeleteYes, if you don't take beef, there is always the chicken or lamb pies.
DeleteYummy and delicious looking pie. Would love to try it.
ReplyDeleteI would like to eat it again!
DeleteSo weird, close on Sunday, I thought weekend is normally day for business.
ReplyDeleteThey place family and resting time more than earning money.
DeleteHaha so elusive. Gwailo hours. :p
ReplyDeleteHaha at the way you put it.:p
