The glass of cham ping (iced mixed coffee and tea - MYR2 ) is not mine. The plate of economy rice (chap fan) next to it is mine. My right hand suddenly developed a will of its own and kept on taking more and more petai (stinky beans) until I had to walk away. Luckily the price was only MYR7.50 nett. Petai is supposed to be expensive.
Yes, they cost a bomb these days. RM5, you get a mere fistful at the market here these days, peeled. Must be the word going round that they're good for health. People shouldn't say things like that - will shoot up the price instantly. :(
ReplyDeleteI wasn't aware they're good for health. I just like the taste of it.
DeleteI don't fancy petai.. MIL cooks petai with squid.. I took only the squid, but my peepee got petai smell already in the evening.. hehehehe..
ReplyDeleteI guess next time you can't even take the squid if you don't want your pee to smell of petai, hehehe.
DeleteHahah...that is a lot of petai! I normally prefer to eat petai at home. I am not comfortable with the smell of petai in the mouth when I am out. hehe
ReplyDeleteCan pop a chewing gum into your mouth after eating this. :)
DeleteThat is a very big helping of petai, so I know that you love petai hah..hah...
ReplyDeleteYes, I do! hahahaha!
DeleteFor you, that is just a huge plate of FOOD!
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought your right hand was grabbing that glass of cham haha. I sometimes have to remind myself, when eating with colleagues, that the drink conveniently in my sight is NOT mine! (I seldom order a drink)
Yes, it was and I had to persuade my spouse to help me finish it.
DeleteI also do not order drinks. If eating noodle soup then it is ok but if eating dry food, may be a bit dry so have to use more saliva to down the food, hehehe.
Hehehe... right on about the saliva! And with spicy food, eat carefully haha.
DeleteEating spicy food is the hardest without water, hehehehe.
Deletehaha, I seldom order drinks too when eating out, even with my colleagues. Last Fri, we all went out for Dave's Deli and all of us did not bother to order drinks at all.
ReplyDeleteDid they provide all of you with a glass of water foc each? Good to know that all of you do not feel forced to order drinks when eating at Dave's Deli.
Deleteno FOC glass of water. They have that fastfood concept way of ordering @ the counter. We just ordered our meal without drink coz we're bunch of stingy fella who prefers to get our drinks/coffee/tea at the office pantry, haha!
DeleteI guess with free drinks at the office pantry, no point buying, can save some money.
DeleteIt is fine with me since I dont touch petai. Haha.
ReplyDeleteI guess seeing your favourite dish, you could not help yourself to it. ;)
Hehehehe, but have you tried eating petai at least once?
DeleteI am the only one in the family that likes 'petai' , so I never bother cooking myself, always eat it at economy rice stalls.
ReplyDeleteI also only eat them at economy rice stalls.
DeleteI was reading the comments about how you all don't order drinks when eating out. I bet the restaurants really hate you all (though they cannot show it lah). If I run a restaurant I will hate people like you all too hahaha! Drinks are the ones that are lucrative weh!
ReplyDeleteI hope I don't eat at your restaurant one day. ;p
DeleteI better avoid this place - Lazy Man's Cooking Restaurant...
DeleteLOL
LOL!
DeleteThat time I ate petai outside, after that I keep going to the toilet to poo, my mom says because the petai got worms inside
ReplyDeleteYou mean you got diarhoea after eating petai? How sure are you that the diarhoea is caused by petai and not some other food you ate?
DeleteThis is an interesting topic. It was the mixed rice lady boss who persuaded me to learn to eat petai for good health. She told me that the tastes of petai is so green and crunchy without bad odour. It is the only known vegetable that could help to cleanse the human's bladder effectively to prevent urine infections and gall bladder stone. When we urinate and it smells badly, it means our bladder is very dirty. She told me to eat her petai curry for 3 days and to pay attention to the urine smell. True enough, by the 3rd day it was not so smelly anymore. Bladder all cleansed.
ReplyDeleteOh, I must try to eat petai 3 days in a row then. :)
