It has been a while since we last went to
Hai Keng coffee shop in PJ (near Digital Mall and Jaya Shopping Center) to have lunch.
A bowl of special seafood curry mee - MYR10 nett. Special because we asked for all the ingredients to be included: a piece of stingray meat, lala (clams), squid (sotong) and soybean puffs (tofu bok). The curry taste a bit sourish because it is nyonya curry.
This is the stall that we ordered the curry mee from.
Fushou Lou Nyonya Seafood Curry Mee. Price ranges from MYR5.50 to MYR10 nett. Additional food item costs from MYR1.50 to MYR2 nett.
We also ordered Lam Mee from another stall and added two pork meatballs so the price went up to MYR7 nett.
Wow! Drooling over your seafood curry mee!!
ReplyDeleteLooks good eh?
Deleteboth are my favourite because of their sourly taste, I have cut down on eating these because of my high cholesterol. :(
ReplyDeleteYour high cholesterol is food related?
DeleteI would happily pay RM 10 for that with so much stuff - stingray and lala. It seems quite far from me though, haven't been to Digital Mall in ages.
ReplyDeleteNot that far from KD.
DeleteSeafood curry mee looks and sounds very "fung foo".. RM10 for a bowl of seafood noodles is ok.. Yesterday I had a bowl of prawn mee (big), RM8 already..
ReplyDeleteYou ate at a place with aircond?
Deletewow the nyonya curry looks good!! for RM10 I think it's not that expensive actually, I've been to some other place and the seafood curry was already RM10 more than 10 years ago, guess it must be like RM20 now.. shall try this if nearby, love the clams and cuttlefish..
ReplyDeleteWhere is the other place?
DeleteGorgeous!!! The curry mee especially! You mean they serve it like that in a coffee shop. Gee!!! All those classy joints can all go and take a back seat!
ReplyDeleteNo aircon so it is hot here.
DeleteLove the tanginess of nyonya curry but I'd like mine without those crunchy cuttlefish. And the lam mee broth here takes on a lighter shade of brown than those I've had.
ReplyDeleteNo cuttlefish price is less than ten. They give the vinegar separately for the lam mee so if you put a lot the broth will become darker.
DeleteI know this area. Perhaps next time I can drop by and try the seafood curry mee. I also want the special, it looks very loaded and tasty.
ReplyDeletePlease do. :)
DeleteI also find that Nyonya Curry seafood noodle looks delicious. I don't mind if it is tasty.
ReplyDeleteIt is.
Delete'Kah liu' for both of you haha. Thought the curry mee was from a pricey joint.
ReplyDeleteHave you been to this coffee shop?
DeleteNo, never been near it. I mainly eat in shops near my workplace and on weekends in malls. So I don't know many places like you do!
DeleteI know it mainly because my spouse likes to go to Digital Mall to look at gadgets. :)
DeleteOooh! I'm drooling at the Curry Noodles. I love sotongs! RM10 for that is very reasonable.
ReplyDeleteYou like the crunchy type?
Deletewow that curry noodles look so premium! I like to have seafood curry noodles, but seldom eat this nowadays.
ReplyDeleteWhy not?
DeleteI love that curry noodles with everything! The lala looks very fresh from here... yummy!
ReplyDeleteHehehehe, you are an expert when it comes to noodles.
DeleteIs the boss of the stall an uncle with moustache?
ReplyDeleteRM10 with so much liu is not expensive at all
Don't remember. You got that from fushou lou?
DeleteWow..so yummy and RM10 for this seafood curry, I won't complain. I hope it is not too spicy though.
ReplyDeleteNot that spicy.
DeleteYour bowl of curry noodles with everything had me drooling!
ReplyDeleteLooks good.
