Valentine's Day will be here soon so there are some hearts decor hanging up here.
The new Jaya mall looks spacious. I have not been here since they reopened after the old Jaya mall was demolished in its entirety.
Open concept
With natural light from the skylight roof
External View - looks the same as the old Jaya - just a rectangular building
I like how natural lighting illuminates the mall. It makes it look more spacious. :)
ReplyDeleteNatural lighting is the best, can save electricity.
Deletei like those lanterns.. and yeah, Vday and CNY are very close to each other this year, good for the malls to save cost, decorations one shot, haha!! :D
ReplyDeleteEveryone wants to save costs now.
DeleteI do like the open concept where light can naturally flow into a place.
ReplyDeleteMore and more malls are using the open concept now.
DeleteThis the one in PJ? The one-time Jaya Supermarket? I use to drop by in 1986 - met Sheila Majid there, little girl.
ReplyDeleteYes, the one in PJ, next to Digital Mall. You are really familiar with places in KL and PJ.
DeleteNever been to this place.. Yep Valentine's day and CNY is just 5 days apart.. Can sekali celebrate..
ReplyDeleteKL people seldom go to PJ and vice versa it seems.
DeleteLovely lanterns hanging from the ceiling.
ReplyDeleteThese lanterns look good I agree.
DeleteOh, is this the new place in Jaya One where you enter via Cold Storage and pass by this place before Jaya One?
ReplyDeleteI think it's before The School or right at the same building. The level indicators look the same, I was just here a few days ago. :)
This one is next to Digital Mall, PJ. Not near The School.
DeleteJaya Shopping Centre.. Tsk.. they demolish the whole thing and said build something new, but kept the same name.. But the inside looks much better, I remember it used to be very gloomy, the old one..
ReplyDeleteYou used to come here too? I am surprise that you even know this place seeing that you live in KL and Central Market area is your haunt. :)
DeleteI used to work in SC Johnson as office boy for about 2 months. Their office is near the masjid/Toyota showroom. That time I took the LRT to Asia Jaya, then walked to work, so always passed by this area..
DeleteNo wonder you are so familiar with this area. That is quite a distance to walk (unless there is a short cut that I don't know about), good exercise!
Deletewent there once during Christmas. Everything so new except for the parking. Sont think they rebuilt the parkinf
ReplyDeleteI did not park in the building so I did not see the car park.
DeleteYou must have there very early...looks deserted!
ReplyDeleteIt was a Sunday at about 1pm.
DeleteNice mall! Hope I get to shop there some day.......
ReplyDeleteYou can always drop by it in PJ.
DeleteLooking at your pics to cuci mata, will probably not be going there. Unless some irresistable shop opens hehe.
ReplyDeleteYou can go here if you go to Digital Mall next door.
DeleteThe decoration is quite tasteful. I haven't been here for ages!
ReplyDeleteNot since it reopened I guess.
DeleteSo Valentine is next week! Love is in the air... together with the red tanglungs...
ReplyDeleteThe weekend after next!
Deletethe mall looks so quiet. Is that a weekday?
ReplyDeleteNo, it was about 1pm during Sunday!
DeleteOMG! I attended a kiddo's birthday party there last Saturday but didn't even notice the nice lanterns. My roving eyes!
ReplyDeleteI guess you did not lift up your head. :)
DeleteNice decor with the natural lighting and open concept. A good start to the new year, celebrating CNY with plenty of love from valentine.
ReplyDeleteYou really do have a way with words! Nicely put! :)
DeleteNever been to this place... Is it a new mall?
ReplyDeleteTotally rebuilt, reopen since last year I think.
DeleteI have never been to this mall yet. Maybe can check out over the long holidays.
ReplyDeleteGot some good restaurants there like Soup Restaurant, Serai, Village Heritage and etc.
DeleteHaven't been there before, where's it around ya??
ReplyDeleteYou know PJ Digital mall? This Jaya is next to it and also around Asia Jaya LRT station area. Opposite Jaya 33.
