For me, it is just another day as I treasure every day that I could spend with my loved ones. Instead of eating expensive special set meals, we just went to our neighbourhood coffee shop and had brunch.
Fish, yin choy, bitter gourd egg with no rice - MYR7, Mixed coffee and tea iced drink - MYR2
Fried yellow noodle mixed with kway teow - MYR5
Roasted chicken and pork rice - MYR6
It's just another day actually, and Kz is down with fever, so we didnt go anywhere nor ate anything nice.. Stayed home and I cooked mee sua using my suckling pig soup..
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about Kz's fever. Hope he is ok now. I love to eat mee sua.
DeleteLove the look of that kway teow/noodle mix. Ahhhh....last one looks like what I have in my blogpost today, minus the pork. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt was your noodle roll that led me to order this. :)
DeletePak toh time, we used to go to expensive restaurants. Now, no more. Just home-cooked dinner with loved ones is as fun and comfortable too.
ReplyDeleteI agree, eat at home is more comfortable.
DeleteI like that the fish comes with lots of veggies.
ReplyDeleteI chose to have that much veggies.
DeleteThis is so great that you spend each day with your loved ones! Seems like a really nice- Valentine's Day dinner!
ReplyDeletebtw. I've never tried kway teow :D I should change that!
I think Cantonese style restaurants would have this kway teow. How did you spend Valentine's Day?
DeleteWell, I cooked this year as my son had invited his girlfriend over to celebrate together. We had a great time! Happy Valentine's Day to you too, dear! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThanks! Your son and his girlfriend are so lucky to get to eat your delicious home cooked Valentine's Day meal.
DeleteUsually those that do not celebrate lavishly are the really loving and going strong couples :D
ReplyDeleteHehehe, not necessarily. Could be just the stingy ones! LOL!
DeleteEvery day is a Valentine when we are with loved ones. Most important is we enjoy each other's company.
ReplyDeleteVery true. Must treasure loved ones all the time and not only during Valentine's Day.
DeleteI had a very simple Valentine's day too!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read your blog about it! :)
DeleteI stayed home and made cookies haha. Oh well, if I want to squeeze hubby for a pressie also I never know what to get!
ReplyDeleteCNY cookies! You are so diligent!
