WG The Dings

We went to have lunch at The Hub, SS2 for the 3rd time in a row for this week. This time, we returned to The Ding's where we ate lunch there back in March 2019. As I am refraining from deep fried food due to a dry throat, I chose the safest option which is chicken with rice at MYR 16.90 nett. The rice portion is just a bit too much for me but I managed to finish all. The rice was not enough for my friends who ordered another rice dish.

My friend's favourite noodles here - Hock Chew Fish Ball Mi Xian at MYR 17.90 nett.

Two friends ordered this Honey Pork Cutlets Rice at MYR 17.90 nett each. They say that the rice is not enough and the pork is a bit too sweet. They also requested the egg yolk to be fully cooked instead of having Lava Egg.

Total bill for 4 pax is MYR 70.60 nett.

These special lunch sets are good value for money with drinks, starter or dessert included but we did not order them because we cannot eat that much.

My friend was tempted to order this but did not.

A localised fusion dish with sambal belacan but I did not try because I am not having spicy food nowadays due to dry throat.

This dish is for sharing and must be for those who loves to eat clams in Sake broth.

This is their usual menu and it has been updated since March 2019. You can click here to see the old menu. Most dishes have their prices increased by MYR 1 each but the price of some dish remains the same. The full usual menu is as this page and all the pages below.

The price of the last dish here Sake noodle mix mushrooms remains the same as the price one year ago.

I was tempted to order the beef balls noodles but chicken rice won in the end.

This Nabe section is totally new.

The lowest price item in the whole menu is Buttered Rice Mushrooms Mix at MYR 13.90 nett.

My order is from this page of the menu.

  1. Same here, no to spicy food nowadays due to frequent cough and sore throat, maybe i should cut down on deep fried food also. I am interested to try the steam chicken rice with goji and dong quai, is that what you ordered?

  2. Ding is a Foochow surname but no, the dishes don't look Foochow to me.
