Salted Egg Yolk Lotus

This is a Salted Egg Yolk Pastry (Ham Dan So, 鹹蛋酥, 咸蛋酥) from Ming Yue bakery in Ipoh. I feel that it is very big because it is bigger than a tablespoon.

It looks better than the one I had here and tastes very good. Just look at how golden and glistening the salted egg yolk is. I am not sure how much this costs.

  1. It does look good, one whole egg yolk. Here we would probably get a quarter, not even half...and not cheap at all even though made locally!

  7. That egg yolk won't be able to fit in there if it's smaller.

    1. Hahahaha, they could have looked for smaller salted egg yolks then.
