This is the 3rd visit to Medifoods Lifestyle Cafe that serves organic food. This time I ordered their set lunch at MYR 12.74 nett. It is accompanied by a small bowl of vegetables soup. I like all the 4 vegetable dishes but prefer it to be without the mayo. Similar to the lei cha meal, the rice served is long grain basmati rice which is light and fluffy.
Instead of papaya, the foc appetiser this time is jicama (yam bean). The bowl of soup is the same bowl as photo 1.
My friend ordered the Bayam (amaranth vege) flat skin noodles at MYR 14.62 nett. The noodles look like hand torn pan mee to me.
The bayam noodles is green? I love those hand torn green noodles. I remember having it once somewhere but forgotten where dy... :(
ReplyDeleteHahaha I did not pay attention so I don't know. Some pan mee shops have green spinach pan mee.
DeleteJicama is sengkuang, right? Great with rojak sauce but I guess that is not healthy. :D
ReplyDeleteYes. They put in fruit rojak too but I like to eat them plain like this.
DeleteNever eat jicama like that. Must mix with something as by itself, it doesn't taste nice.
ReplyDeleteVery healthy meal.
I find plain like this taste very nice because it is crunchy, juicy and got a natural light sweet refreshing taste.
DeleteAiyo so healthy haha. I can't get excited over the jicama like that la.
ReplyDeleteNo need to get excited. Just eat it and enjoy the plain natural refreshing light sweetish taste.
DeleteWah, makan in tray.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I always associate tray with roti canai & thosai. 😂😂😂
Hahahaha I did not realize that it is the same tray as roti canai and thosai until you mentioned it here. :D
DeleteI’ve not tried eating in an organic restaurant before. Perhaps it’s time to give it a go. xoxo
ReplyDeleteOn my own, I would not have eaten in an organic restaurant. I am just running with the herd, hahahaha.
DeleteI always think of you as a walking Food Dictionary who knows all the scientific names like jicama! Thanks for teaching me so many words.
ReplyDeleteI just learnt that pandan leaves are screw pine leaves. I guess I don;t belong to the kitchen though I always went to do marketing at wet markets.
Hahahahaha, your comment made me find this out - "Pachyrhizus erosus, commonly known as jicama" - what a long name!
DeleteVery healthy looking meal, Mun! I went for vegetarian food just yesterday, sometimes it is nice to be meatless...
ReplyDeleteI don't mind eating meatless at all.
DeleteMeatless once in a while is good. I don't mind eating jicama plain but I still prefer with rojak sauce with lots of peanuts.
ReplyDeleterojak sauce has a lot of sugar in it.
