GS Ipoh Chicken Rice Midvalley

I have been to the Ipoh Chicken Rice branch at Sri Petaling but not this one in Midvalley Mall so it is about time that I tried it. Steamed Village Chicken for 1 pax (thigh) at MYR 14.50+ (10% service charge = MYR 15.95 nett) with accompanying tasty ginger paste that is served separately and a bowl of foc soup. A plate of siew yuk (roast pork) and char siew (BBQ pork) at MYR 23+ (MYR 25.30 nett). The siew yuk skin is very crispy.

This plate of chicken rice costs MYR 2.80+ (MYR 3.10 nett). I just ate one table spoon of this rice and found it to be quite firm. I prefer softer rice.

We also ordered a bowl of herbal pork soup at MYR 11.50+ (MYR 12.65 nett). The soup has 2 big pieces of pork on bones in the soup.

Total price for 2 pax is MYR 57 nett. A decent meal.

Ipoh Chicken Rice at Midvalley Mall, a few units from Daiso and BMS Organics.

  1. The steam chicken looks shiny, smooth and delicious, if I want authentic chicken rice in SG, I will go to Boon Tong Kee

    1. Yes, it is a bit fatty because I ask for lean meat as far as possible.

    1. The roasted pork and char siew here is nice, up to standard. I try not to eat rice if I can help it.
