Which is Less

I thought chapati is less fattening to eat than Roti Canai so I ordered Chapati (about MYR 2). Is it true? My drink is a glass of  iced barley lime kosong (without any sugar) at about MYR 3 at Macha and Co, One Utama.

  2. It is just plain dough best if cooked in the traditional oven like naan, no oil...unless they sprinkle some on it when already cooked - some do that, whereas the one for canai, they would soak it in oil the whole night and in cooking, you can see how much oil is added to the hot plate.

  3. Barley lime without sugar? I don't think I would enjoy it much. Haha. I ever order barley lime before. I like it with slightly sweetness in it.

  4. Yes, true. But the kuah still has same amount of calories. Heheh

    1. Sometimes I asked for no kuah at all and eat them dry. Hehehe.

  5. Definetly chapati is a healthier option than roti canai. With chapati, wheat flour is used whereas with roti canai, white flour is used. Also, chapati uses minimal oil or none at all whereas roti canai uses a whole load of oil.

  6. Yep chapati is healthy. Roti... isn't. But if you don't eat often it's ok.
