After reading PH's post about the delicious lamb, I quickly "ajak" my friend who likes to eat lamb too to check out the place. The above is what we ordered. We kept half of each dish for dinner. The lamb was tender and tasty just like PH has described it to be. A big thank you to PH for introducing this place.
When I reached home, my friend called me and told me that she read PH's post again and noticed that there are some vegetables on PH's plate but not on ours. Hahahaha, what a joke - all they gave us was a single slice of raw carrot on one plate and a single slice of raw cucumber on the other plate. Anyway we did not mind it at all because we were there for the lamb after all.
There are other lamb dishes on the menu as below (prices are in MYR) and we have tried two so we will go again to try the rest:
Lamb Mandy Rice 19.9
Lamb Kabsa Rice 18.9
Lamb Madggod Rice 19.9
Lamb Haneeth Kabsa Rice 19.9
Maqlubah Lamb Rice 24.5
Lamb Kabsa rice at MYR 18.90 nett and Lamb Madggod rice at MYR 19.90 nett.
Storefront. I hope this eatery will be here longer because the lamb is delicious and affordable. We were there about 1 pm on a Sunday and we were the only two customers there. Hopefully they will get more customers during dinner time and during weekdays.
Lunch sets. I like that they offer Milo Ice as one of the free drinks but no lamb dishes so not going for these lunch sets.
For celebrations, I think their Family Set is worth it. About MYR 21 to MYR 26 per pax.
I like lamb too, yum yum, but some cannot accept as they say got a "smell"
ReplyDeleteI like the taste.
DeleteHaha I like your post title, I also find looks like Lamborghini
ReplyDeleteGoogle search change the word to that.
DeleteI would love the stuff here, I'm sure, but yes, whatever happened to the vegetables?
ReplyDeleteI have absolutely no idea that they were missing when I was eating the dish.
DeleteIt would be a major irony if they, a lamb eatery, go out of business due to vegetable related bad press >.<
ReplyDeleteNo way this can happen!
DeleteOnly one slice of cucumber carrot. Gosh.
ReplyDeleteBut on good note, I love the look of the chunky lamb. Family set is worthy promotion.
Both slices are negligible.
DeleteThe family sets definitely looks good and worth it. I must drop by someday and support this place too. Sadly most of these Mid-Eastern or African restaurants don't survive long due to our cultural difference & tastes.
ReplyDeleteGo go go support them since you are cycling around Starling Mall.
DeleteAh I'd go for lamb too. And I'd not be bothered much about the vegs.
ReplyDeleteNo sweat about the vegs. Same here too!
DeleteWe love lamb too. Hubby's favourite!
ReplyDeleteHopefully there are affordable tasting lamb eateries in Ipoh!
DeleteOh, you went there! I am glad that you enjoyed the lamb. But yeah, I wonder why they gave you only a slice of cucumber and carrot hah..hah... I must ask the guy what is the difference between kabsa, madggod and mandy.
ReplyDeleteHahaha maybe they forgot. I did ask them for all the differences between the 5 and he did explain very patiently so do ask the next time you go eat. The maqlubah means upside-down so maybe I will try that next time.
DeleteArabic & Western! What a pairing.
ReplyDeleteI guess so that friends who wish to eat pasta could go with their friends who want to eat middle eastern food.
DeleteFirst time i saw 5 different versions of lamb rice, i used to think that lamb will be lamb, that is all
ReplyDeleteCooked in different ways and with different spices I guess.
Deleteso pathetic with only a piece of cucumber/carrot!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, don't care about the vege lah.
