Wedding Dinner

About a year ago, I attended a wedding lunch at this hotel and just recently I was at the same hotel for a wedding dinner held in this restaurant. This time, I managed to take photos of all 9 dishes served. As I do not eat much dinner, I made an exception this time though I still make an effort to only eat a bit from each dish. Crispy snacks on the table before the event starts.

The hand belongs to a waiter who wanted to distribute the food but we requested to do it ourselves. Hot and cold combination platter. There are only 4 different types here but the serving plate has 5 compartments so one of the compartment just contains some vegetable salad as garnishing material.

Crab meat, crab roe, fish maw soup. Say no to fins soup.

Steamed chicken with kai lan vegetable (chinese kale)

The menu says Steamed Hemibagrus which google says is a type of cat fish.

Prawns - my favourite but without the shells

Fish Maw with mushroom and broccoli

Lotus Leaf Seafood Fried Rice

Desserts - my favourite too

  1. I wonder what my girl had at her friend's wedding dinner at this same place, what a coincidence!

  2. Cold and hot plate. My favourite during dinner reception. Oooh. Crispy Pumpkin for dessert. I had that during my sis' wedding dinner too.

  3. I always enjoy the cold/hot dish most. Aiya they could have added a cheap dish to fill up the 5th compartment.

    1. Most probably the bride and groom did not know that the serving plate would be like that with an extra compartment.

  4. I always enjoyed wedding dinners when good gossipers are seated together! LOLOL
I have been eating Shark's Fin soups in all weddings this year but all of them served faked fins of the 1st and 2nd grade. I am good at telling whether the fins are real or not by one bite.

    1. Fake fins are better right? Since no living things are destroyed for it.
