We ordered 3 banana leaf meals at MYR5 each and one small plate of mutton curry (MYR 5) as can be seen in the photo above.
2 Idli at MYR1 each
Veloo Villas at D'Piazza serves authentic banana leaf meals. My friend recommended this restaurant to us.
Total price for 3 pax: MYR32.20 that includes 3 sets of banana leaf meals at MYR5 each, one plate of mutton curry at MYR5, 2 glasses of plain lassi (one sweet, one without sugar and without salt) at MYR3.5 each, two Idli at MYR1 each, and one plain thosai at MYR1.40 plus 6% GST.

DeleteAhh, banana leaf rice.. Hungry already now.. I can have this for breakfast right now, haha..
ReplyDeleteDo they serve this as breakfast?
DeleteYeah, this one actually quite popular. In fact, I know people from town area would also come here for their BLR fix.
ReplyDeleteYou like this blr?
DeleteI'm not a super BLR fan, so I won't come here very often. But I do come here sometimes lah..
DeleteThe basic MYR5 BLR got only vegetables and I know you are not a fan of vegetables. ;p
Deletesure hungry after a 2-hour walk under the sun, and after finding nowhere you can stop by to eat in town.. banana leaf rice is nice, can replenish the energy you have burnt off during the walk.. now you make me wanna have some banana leaf rice, hahaha.. and that idli too, i think i have not tried that before, good to go with the curry?? and you did not take photos of the lassi and dosai, too hungry to do that?? haha.. :)
ReplyDeleteI was busy eating away so forgot to take photos of the two items that came later. Yes idli goes well with curry.
DeleteYou are so clever and even know the names. Today I just learnt this new word Idli... after eating them few times. They go well with spicy curry.
ReplyDeleteYes they do go well with curry. How do you order them if you don't know their name?
DeleteAfter the long walk, you deserve a banana leaf treat!
