Mee Suah

We were back at Green Curry Restaurant for an early dinner at 5.30 pm one day.

Herbal Chicken Set (with a drink) - MYR9.90 nett but for the noodle, we chose mee suah so we had to add MYR0.50 for it so the price is MYR10.40 nett. There are no extra charges for other types of noodles. Only for mee suah, an additional 50 cents is imposed. The broth tastes of "dong quai" (Angelica sinensis) and I find it tasty.

Green Curry Laksa Set (with a drink) with pork and mee suah so add 50 cents to the set price of MYR9.50 nett making it MYR10 nett. This time I did not take any photos of the drinks as they were the same drinks that I ordered previously. It seems that mee suah is more expensive than other types of noodle such as yellow mee, hor fun and mee hoon (rice vermicelli).

  3. The mee sua sure looks very different from our mee sua. I think I would prefer it with the herbal chicken soup. I would usually have bihun or yellow noodles with curry.

  4. I've not had mee sua in curry before although they seem like a thicker version than the usual mee sua I'm accustomed to. I've only had mee sua in soup. When I'm under the weather, that's what I have at home too. It's not the easiest noodle to cook as it overcooks very quickly. If you like mee sua, you'll certainly enjoy the ones at this Chinese restaurant I'm going to blog about soon.

    1. This mee sua does seem thicker than the usual ones so I guess that's why it is more expensive. Can't wait to read your post about the Chinese restaurant with the nice mee sua you mentioned above.

    2. Sri Petaling but certainly not an adventurous person when it comes to looking for eateries. My criteria is always nearby and convenient parking! haha.

  12. Yum! The first one is something I like to eat too.

I like this version (herbal tea, we call it "pek ting yok" in Hokkien, meaning 8 herbs tea/medicine) and it tastes nicer than the red wine (white) version.
