Daging Gepuk vs Rendang

On Wednesday 8.july.2026, very early at 7 am, went to Thong Kee Sri Petaling to eat breakfast. After that went to foc job for about two hours. At 10.20 am, went to Midvalley mall to drop off Preloved items to the charity store and ate lunch at Ayam Gepuk Hut.

*** Ayam Gepuk Hut Midvalley mall ***

11.11 am - this time I ordered ala carte daging rendang MYR 15+ and it turned out to be thick creamy curry beef slices which I like 😋 

So for Ayam Gepuk Hut:

1. Order daging rendang will get similar to curry beef slices

2. Order daging Gepuk will get similar to the usual beef chunks rendang 

For the main rice dish, I ordered sotong gepuk rice MYR 17.90+

The sotong aka squid is tender and tasty.

Both sotong gepuk and salted egg yolk sotong are tasty 😋 

Will definitely eat squid and beef here again because I like the taste.

11.55 am - we shared a big tub of warm herbal jelly MYR 16 nett.

*** Lunch for two ***

11.09 am - MYR 46.10 nett for lunch for two of us.

*** Thong Kee Sri Petaling ***

7.18 am - early breakfast: pork misua add one egg. Our usual kaya butter toasts, not in photo: soft boiled eggs and hot cham.
