Taynton View Fei Poh Curry Mee

On Saturday 29.march.2025, he went to try Fei Poh Curry Mee at Taman Taynton View, Cheras. After that we stopped by Sun Ming Kee and buy takeaway roast duck, siew yuk, char siew and eggs MYR 60 nett before going to yit char Kaw Kaw Taman desa for my favourite siew potatoes ginger tong Sui and thin Kaya butter toasts.

8.53 am - we ordered 4 items only: 2 drinks, 1 chicken curry noodles soup and 1 pork ribs curry no noodles. This curry mee soup has many pieces of Brinjal and long beans. By default it has cockles aka siham too.

2.02 pm - he ate early dinner of the above roast meat. At 10.02 am, bought takeaway MYR 60 nett from sun Ming kee:

1. Quarter upper portion duck MYR 20 nett

3. Braised eggs 4 x MYR 2 nett 

2.40 pm - my portion. I ate two eggs and all the remaining siew yuk and char siew. Kept remaining two eggs and duck for his next day meal as too much, we couldn't eat them all.

Ying Jia Happy Garden

On Friday 28.march.2025, he wanted to try out a roadside dim sum eatery that he read that the taste is authentic in online reviews so we went to that eatery for brunch. After dim sum, I walked to nearby Canton-Z to buy 2 pax siew yuk MYR 22 nett for our early dinner.

He ordered all the food after confirming with me whether or not I want to try the molten lava egg tart which I replied ok.

10.04 am - hot kluang coffee ☕ MYR 3.00

Prawn hk ccf MYR 6.80 a bit rice-off taste but still passable 

9.57 am - one piece menu of printed front and back. This side: baked and fried dim sum section and drinks section. We tried to order only those dishes with thumbs up 👍 recommendation sign. Below I have cut out the menu for viewing purpose.

9.58 am - steamed dim sum, rice rolls, buns and porridge aka congee sections.

10.00 am - siew Mai MYR 6.20 which I didn't eat because I don't want to eat siew Mai since more than one year ago, to avoid spitting out the fatty bits in the meat fillings.

10.06 am - deep fried 🍤 prawn roll with mayo dip MYR 7.00 which is way too oily but very crispy. Prawn filings are ok. I didn't taste the mayo dip at all.

10.09 am - char siew bao MYR 6.50 which I helped him eat the bao skin only while he ate all the fillings. Siew long bao MYR 6.80 which he ate all with the ginger slices.

11.13 am - I bought 2 pax Canton-Z siew yuk MYR 22 nett for his early dinner. After this siew yuk, I felt hungry at 5 pm so I ate a few slices of oz oats wholemeal bread without anything else, just eat them plain which I like.

On Thursday 27.march.2025, he showed me an online video of a foodie recommending curry noodles, beef noodles, char siew wanton noodles, Penang prawn noodles, stomach pepper soup noodles and iced coffee with Leong fun jelly from an eatery in Taman oug and he said to go there for brunch. I noticed the name of the eatery is Bing Huo.

It was drizzling the whole morning so he parked the car in the basement car park of the oug indoor market building and then we walked to the eatery from the car park. He walked very quickly ahead of me and when I reached Bing Huo, he was not there. He went to the opposite coffee shop called Weng Huat Kopitiam in error and he already ordered his hot coffee so we just ate his orders at Weng Huat.

After that he bought takeaway char siew bao, siew Mai and a hot coffee drink for the elderly. It was still drizzling after the visit, so we went to Pearl Point Shopping Gallery to eat brunch round 2 and also early dinner at Go Noodles and bought items from mrdiy, Ben Grocer and Jaya Grocer.

It says "the whitish dust on blueberries is known as bloom, is a naturally occurring substance to keep the fruit fresher ..."

He bought blueberries, avocado, bean curd sheets, shelled gingko and candied melons MYR 52.75 nett. Then he went to mrdiy MYR 18 nett and I went to jaya grocer MYR 8.10 nett.

3.51 pm - I bought a chocolate pastry stick MYR 4.20 nett and a pineapple pastry stick MYR 3.90 nett and shared them with him. The chocolate pastry stick seems to have mochi in it because the texture is soft chewy. Will buy it again to confirm.

On Wednesday 26.march.2025, two went for their weekly house tasks so we went for early breakfast nearby at million Ocean coffee shop for his breakfast and then I waited for the collection center to open to collect my parcel and then I walked home. Later he picked me up and we went for early dinner at C+ cafe pinnacle condo at around 1 pm.

9.34 am - saw this big frangipani tree with red flowers while walking home.

8.41 am - he ordered bitter gourd pork horfun mihun soup MYR 10 nett. The ju yau zhar on top is the default ju yau zhar given by this noodles stall.

8.52 am - he also ordered:

1. Toasted bread frozen butter MYR 3.50 nett

2. Small hot cham MYR 2.50 nett

3. One portion of 2 soft boiled eggs MYR 2.90 nett

I ordered one iced cham drink MYR 3.30 nett and I ate his remaining food so I didn't order any food for myself.

My ALA carte vinegar pork trotter rice with less rice MYR 24.90++. There is a hard boiled egg in the small pot containing pork trotters vinegar. I requested him to help me eat all the thick skin full of collagen goodness of the pork trotters as I don't eat the skin. I only ate the lean meat.

I was given a 10% discount and the end total after discount is MYR 43.80 nett

Search for frozen cooked sea cucumber at The Food Merchant supermarket at PBJ but they were all sold out. Only one frozen pack of pork trotter mushrooms and one frozen pack of pork belly taro from the same brand are still available, expiry date 1/7/2025 same as the frozen cooked sea cucumber that we bought for cny.
