There are many toppings or fillings and I selected one Lemon Icing croissant at MYR 6.80 nett. It is one of the lowest price.
Lemon icing croissant in a takeaway bag because I don't think there is a dining area for customers to eat in. I wonder can this bakery survive here as it mainly sells croissant. Guess the big student population here may help it stay afloat.
I was still hungry after eating the croissant so I bought a few buns from TK (used to be known as Tong Kee) during tea time and the next day.
Total cost is MYR 21.20 nett for 5 buns and 1 chiffon cake.
I can smell the aroma of the croissant from here lol.
ReplyDeleteso I take it that you like to eat croissant.
DeleteName sounds Japanese.
ReplyDeletebut is from Taiwan.
DeleteIf I am a student, RM6.50 for a croissant is expensive for me. It's not filling. I'd rather spend that amount of money for nasi lemak that would help me go through the day.
ReplyDeleteBut then again, maybe students these days are better off than me when I was studying last time. Coz I see many of them can afford bubble tea which is a rare treat to me even today.
The fees of the colleges in this area are expensive so I guess the students are well off.
DeleteI love eating buns and croissants. There is a kiosk at 1 Utama that sells only croissants with all sorts of toppings. I can't remember the name.
ReplyDeleteI have seen the kiosk but I couldn't remember the name so I googled for it. The name is Honzu.
DeleteI prefer my croissants plain.
ReplyDeleteThey do well plain ones I believe.
DeleteThat croissant can buy 2 TK buns already. I'm not attracted to these much. But who knows, might try one fine day.
ReplyDeleteSo you don't like croissants and also buns because they are not filling.
DeleteWell I like buns. Croissants often don't have the fragrance and consistency I like so seldom go for them.
DeleteThose fragrant croissants are expensive sold in specialty bakeries.
