Lechon Kawali

Philippines Cuisine is now available at Popcorn Food Court, Midvalley Mall so we tried the food there. We ordered the Lechon Kawali Set at MYR 12.90 nett. Lechon Kawali is crispy pan fried pork belly. The pork rind is crunchy. We also had BBQ Pork at MYR 7.90 nett. I am fine with the food.

Semper Kitchen at PopCorn Food Court, Midvalley.

Semper Kitchen's stall is in between Kim Zen and the mixed rice (chap fan) stall.

  2. What you ordered looks good. Don't know most of the names of the dishes so have to rely on the photos to see what food is that

  3. I love Filipino cuisine! So far here, we only have their crispy pata at a few places.

    1. we can only takeaway the crispy pata here because it is too big for two persons to eat for lunch.

  4. More and more Filipino stalls/shops over here. The recent one that I had was their version of lo bak (braised pork belly). I haven't try their other dishes on the menu.

    1. I wonder whether the braised pork belly you had is it the same as adobo pork here.

    1. Jollibee is fast food like fried chicken and burgers which to me is like western food, hahahaha.

  6. We went there for CNY, but most stalls were closed. I was eyeing this Filipino stall too. Thought if I like something in particular, can get my maid to replicate at home haha.

  7. I have yet to try Filipino food. The roasted pork looks like our local siew yoke.

    1. but doesn't taste the same because local siew yoke has 5 slice taste, this one doesn't.

    1. no, they don't taste like local ones. no 5 spice taste for siew yoke and no caramelized sweet taste for char siew.
