When I was in Taipei, I wanted to eat the nasi lemak beef rendang at PappaRich to see whether it tastes like the one in KL but when I saw the price I cancelled my plan. After conversion, the price is about MYR 45.
PappaRich is called Jing Ba Ba (金爸爸) in Chinese in Taipei. Literal translation is Gold Pa Pa. The branch in Taipei is located in Mitsukoshi Xinyi A9 building which is an upmarket building near Taipei 101. I guess I will never know what the food there tastes like because I am not going to pay that price when I can get it here at a lower price.
Doing extremely well in Auckland, my brother said. That Pappa must be really rich now!
ReplyDeletefrom the outlook seems to be.
DeleteI had visited paparich a few times in jb and in sg and i love their food and affordable prices
ReplyDeleteoh they are in sg too.
DeleteThis is interesting that they call it Jing Ba Ba. I will not want to pay RM45 to try their Nasi Lemak too.
ReplyDeletenot when we can get it here for a much better price.
DeleteRM45!!??! pengsan! tht rendang beef must be premium beef!
ReplyDeleteexotic dish to the locals I guess.
DeleteWe've it in SG too, but the food is not fantastic......
ReplyDeletenot fine dining obviously.
DeleteSince you were just there on a short trip, yeah better eat other things. If you live there and crave the taste then ok lah.
ReplyDeleteif live there would rather cook it at home I guess for most people.
DeleteFeel like eating gold there. Haha. I would not eat too looking at the price.
ReplyDeletedoesnot make sense to eat there when it is available here.
