MYR15.80 nett a box but now they are having a buy 1 get another box free because they want to clear the CNY stock so I bought 1 box and ended up with 2 boxes.
They are tasty but not the best that I have eaten so far.
The expiry date is 31 march 2017 which is about 9 days away.
The answer is for the previous post is I had the BMS signature nasi lemak! Who guessed correctly? Many did. Surprisingly, none guessed the vegetarian bak kut teh. For those who guessed teppanyaki, if you did a search for the word "teppanyaki" on my blog, you would have found no mention of teppanyaki before the previous post. That is because I absolutely dislike teppanyaki due to the smell of hot oil (almost like wok hei) so I have never eaten teppanyaki and wouldn't even try it. Thank you all for joining this guessing game! :) Have a good weekend!
This reminds me to check the expiry dates of all my balance CNY snacks, I think some are expiring soon
ReplyDeleteYeah I guessed correctly but no prize haha
can, can, just email me your postal address and I will send you a mystery gift. my email is zhengmun2 at gmail dot com. :)
DeleteLike the Australian Arnotts biscuits here - my girl bought some for me, around RM4 something a week or two ago...and with the expiry date due next week, I saw them going for only RM2 something at a supermarket here yesterday. Normally those would cost at least over RM8.00 a pack.
ReplyDeleteless than half price but only if you dare to eat near expiry date food. :)
DeleteMy son finished all the leftover biscuits from CNY.. otherwise I sure won't be able to..
ReplyDeletelucky you don't need to else will put on weight. ;-p
DeleteI still have some CNY titbits! Must try to finish them before expiry dates.
ReplyDeletego go go! :)
DeletePeople are used to trust shops and do not check the expiration dates. Sometimes it's quite difficult to add 45 days or 120 days to the production date and find out if the expiration date is, so I use the app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=info.shelflife.shelflife
ReplyDeleteuseful app then.
DeleteYeah sometimes will crave for pineapple tarts one. :)
ReplyDeleteyou too? hehehe.
DeleteWell, if it's good or you have people to share it with, it will be gone before it expires. :)
ReplyDeletei finished one box d. another box to go.
DeleteI made sure I don't keep much CNY goodies. Whatever was left, was eaten and long gone, so no need to worry about expiry date.
ReplyDeletegood practice!
DeleteCan you finish the tarts by 31st March? The other day I went to buy coffee at BMS Organics and they gave me one tub of cookies. When I got home I noticed those also expire 31st March LOL!
ReplyDeleteshould be able to but i want to eat them slowly so i finished one box and kept the other box in my fridge. hmmm why they did not give me a free tub of cookies.
DeleteMy wife often shakes her head to see going through the clearance corners at Cold Storage and Ben's. I could get huge boxes of cereals for less than RM10 & imported sauces at 70% discounts. Why not?
ReplyDeleteIf you keep that CNY cookies in the fridge, you can keep for another 6 months!
hehehe i am like you. dare to eat expired goods if they look and smell ok.
DeleteYeay I guessed correctly :D
ReplyDeleteAiyo! I would have grabbed the pineapple tarts too. I don't need 9 days to finish them. It will be gone in just 2 days with me and my boys.
yay! you know me well i guess. ;) i keep one box in the fridge to eat slowly.
DeleteI had trouble accessing your blog. I am here now.
ReplyDeleteI saw bak kwa on Claire's blog (I finished my homemade a while ago. I made with pork, then veal. I may make some more with chicken/turkey). Pineapple tart, my fav.
thank you for not giving up. :) good that you know how to make bak kwa. can make and eat anytime, no need to wait for cny and pay through your nose. pineapple tarts are my weakness too.
