3 of us ordered Fisherman's Catch (about MYR41.90) and Shrimp Pasta (about MYR32.90) with drinks to share.
Shrimps sauteed with Capers in Lemon-Garlic Butter and Linguine. I find the pasta to be too al-dente for me. Parmesan cheese are sprinkled on top so if you don't like cheese, do remember to request the waiting staff to omit the cheese. The shrimps taste fresh enough and not too crunchy so I quite like it.
We removed the Fisherman's Catch from the bucket. Flash Fried Calamari, Golden Shrimp and Breaded White Fish dusted with Cajun Spices with fries. Good for those who like to eat crispy deep fried food. Too much deep fried food here for me in one sitting so we put half of them into our containers to eat later at home.
I ordered a glass of strawberry smoothie - about MYR13.90 which is way too sweet for me until I feel it is burning my throat. Luckily we also request for a glass of iced plain water so I drank it to soothe my throat. The cup of hot coffee costs about MYR5.90 and I have forgotten to take a photo of the bill so I do not know how much it is.
Oh no! Strawberry smoothie so sweet until it leaves a burning feel in your throat? That is not good. I avoid smoothies these days too. I find them to be too sweet.
ReplyDeleteso you are also keeping away from sweet drinks. same here.
DeleteHeard of this place though it is not one of those heard mentioned all the time. Would love to give it a try! Did you run like Forrest after eating? LOL!!!
ReplyDeleterun away from it fast more like it.
DeleteFishermen catch for me! I love prawns and calamari. I seldom order smoothie. Too sweet and filling I hardly could finish by myself.
ReplyDeletei like to eat prawns and calamari too. that's why i ordered it.
DeleteFishermen catch for me too! I love crispy, crunchy deep fries. No thanks to sweet smoothie. Have a good day, Mun!
ReplyDeletethanks! same to you.
Deletelong time I didn't go to Bubba Gump....their portion is always huge (and so is the price).
ReplyDeletethe price is somewhat like manhattan fish market, right?
DeleteDo they really served the fries in newspaper? Or is it something else? The portion does indeed look Large.. yes, tarpau is the best thing to do...
ReplyDeleteit is "pretend" newspapers as in paper printed to look like newspapers.
DeleteI was just wondering how come you didn't make a fuss on the 'newspapers'!
ReplyDeletecos it is fake newspapers! lol!
DeleteMy bosses took the whole brood of staff to dine there twice on staff's birthdays. We love the food and fun seeing them standing on the chairs on their birthdays!! We have ordered almost everything there and all are very American to me... I like their ribs, thick chips and drinks. Now I am hungry.
ReplyDeletewah your bosses are so generous! always bringing you all for big makan makan.
DeleteAre you bringing your containers everywhere now? Haha.
ReplyDeleteYour food looks nice with the newspapers and all. Haven't been to Bubba Gump for ages... wasn't impressed with the food the one time I went there.
yes, bringing it if i remember. i normally go there to eat shrimps and prawns.
DeleteI am more impressed with the comments. I will feel geli about being served on newspaper too, but I think in the UK, the old school fish and chips place will serve you their fish and chip on newspaper, no?
ReplyDeleteWhen you were in UK, did you get served fish and chips in real newspaper? I went to a few places for fish and chips and they served the fish and chips wrapped in plain paper without any printing on them. I guess it is not healthy to use real newspapers anymore unlike olden days.
DeleteI didn't personally, but I've seen my friend got it on a time when I ordered something else.
Deletei wonder which chippy that is.
