Whenever we are at The Curve, we would go to
Teh Tarik Place if we wanted to have a tasty meal (inclusive of a drink) for under MYR15 per person.
"Sini Cannot Smoking" - just trying to be different?
Even if you don't understand the sentence, you will understand the no-smoking sign.
Ah! I really must try this place one day. I always end up at Uncle Lim's
ReplyDeleteIkano is renovating now so Uncle Lim is under renovation too.
DeleteManglish.
ReplyDeleteThe enemy of English teachers?
DeleteI prefer to see the No smoking sign
ReplyDeleteI believe that sign is an international sign so everyone would understand it.
DeleteWhat do you like here? Besides the nasi lemak.
ReplyDeleteI think the thosai here is tasty too.
Deletejust put 'No Smoking' will do...I think it is more universal and understandable by everyone...
ReplyDeleteThe can is so misleading coz people might misunderstood that is a makeshift ashtray, only to realise it is not, when seeing the broken English warning and a No Smoking symbol.
Now that you mentioned it, I do believe that some people may think that the can is the ashtray.
DeleteWhat is that tin for?? Nice sign. Definitely catch the attention.
ReplyDeleteThey use the tin to indicate the table number I think.
DeleteSomething different! Our local rojak English ha ha!
ReplyDelete..but STP is not amused!
