Yam Rice Warisan Kopi

On Saturday 13.jul.2024, didn't have any specific place to go for food so ended up at Warisan kopi jalan lazat and ordered many items to enable us to sit till 10 am for ecoshop to open.

*** Nestle Crunch ice cream ***

8.50 am - the solid chocolate in the middle is more than the vanilla ice cream around it. 

8.48 am - MYR 2.50 nett for one nestle Crunch ice cream.

*** Warisan kopi ***

9.04 am - his soft boiled eggs and noodles soup 10.9. My yam Rice 5.9.

9.12 am - his hot coffee drink and kaya butter bun. My iced Coffee 3.8 and curry chicken 5.9. I took half the yam rice home and put it in the freezer because it was a big bowl. The curry gravy is non creamy curry so I ate all of it with half portion of the yam Rice. The yam rice has lots of dried shrimps so it is yummy 😋 🤤 but not too salty.

Evening Walk

On Friday 12.jul.2024, woke up early and went to Tong Kee for breakfast.

7.46 am - his soft boiled eggs and we shared his noodles soup. Also bought 1 hot white coffee drink and 2 curry puffs.

7.42 am - early morning at Thong Kee Sri Petaling.

*** Clear Freezer Food ***

11.13 am - I bought one roast chicken drumstick MYR 6 nett from thong Kee and ate it with 2 slices of frozen yin sourdough bread and frozen curry gravy from Monday's ribs curry. I cut the meat from the drumstick using a knife because my weak teeth.

2.03 pm - this sunshine bun is foc with the sunshine oz oats bread bought on Thursday. The wrapper says SCS made with creamy butter and sugar crystals.

2.05 pm - two of us shared this one bun.

2.07 pm - cross section. The butter cream is foamy and sweet. Ok for a quick snack.

Pedestrian Bridge

On Thursday 11.jul.2024, had to do an errand in town so went early to pudu icc for breakfast and then parked at pavilion kl MYR 16 nett. Walked to menara uoa and then to lot 10 hutong food court for lunch before going back.

7.33 am to 7.57 am ish, about 24 minutes in the morning traffic.

8.02 am - his favourite noodles soup.

8.47 am - coffee, eggs, toast set MYR 10.40 nett from the famous coffee stall on the right of the entrance of pudu icc food court. There are two triangles of toasts. I have eaten one.

*** Pavilion KL ***

This mall opens at 10 am so since we entered the car park before 10 am, we need to park at section D because all doors are locked except the entrance at section D which leads to Pavilion Connexion, the open area between pavilion mall and pavilion elite.

I then walked towards klcc on the pedestrian bridge to menara uoa and bring forward my appointment from 11 am to 10 am.

11.03 am - on my way back to pavilion mall from menara uoa. I like walking on this pedestrian bridge because it is bright and airy so it is a pleasant walk from pavilion to klcc and vice versa.

*** Tea Garden Pavilion ***

10.34 am - he ate this toasts and tea while waiting for me. He says the toast is very tasty as the bread is very thin, thinner than the butter fillings.

*** Lot 10 Hutong ***

11.42 am - I suggest that he eats this Kim Lian Kee Hokkien Mee MYR 17.30 nett. No idea why the pieces of lard on top are not fried to very crispy level.

11.50 am - I ordered this bowl of mixed beef items MYR 15 nett from the Soong Kee stall.

11.56 am - braised knuckle rice set MYR 18.90 nett with soup, egg and tofu. I didn't want any rice and I understand the price remains the same.

11.57 am - the braised food set is from this Hao Ji stall.

Walked back and bought some items from Mercator supermarket:

Dropped off items 2 to 4 for my friend.

On Wednesday 10.jul.2024, went to Pavilion Bukit Jalil. Ate at Oriental Kopi and Dao. Bought items from Verona Bread & Patisserie and Muji.

2.54 pm - 2 of us shared this big bowl of taohua in chrysanthemum sweet soup MYR 5.20+ with 5 pumpkin tong Yuen MYR 2.50+ so total is MYR 8.15 nett. The taohua is tasty and smooth. The pumpkin tong Yuen feels like having more glutinous flour than pumpkin.

11.25 am - opening day so long queue because today and tomorrow there is 50% on all bread and 30% on cakes.

The rye sourdough is tasty because it is slightly sour. The ruby red velvet slice cake is incorrect. I bought a slice of strawberry mousse cheese cake. Taste nice though the foamy texture of mousse is not in my favourite list.

4.27 pm - taste is nice. I think my tastebud has been adjusted to prefer less sweet items.

4.32 pm - the middle cheese portion has foamy mousse texture. I like the strawberry jam taste which I always do which is the reason I bought this slice of cake beca

The buyer's tray in front of me has the popular millefeuille toast. The buyer managed to grab it when a freshly baked very small batch of about 8 loaves of toasts appeared.

Spicy Sarawak Laksa

On Tuesday 9.jul.2024, woke up at 6 am and went to pick up the elderly for the geriatrics clinic inaugural appointment.

My order Sarawak laksa which turned out to be very spicy after I ate nearly half so I had to order a glass of iced coffee to wash away the spiciness from my mouth.

His order - nasi lemak rendang.

The elderly's order - ying yong wat tan hor. Didn't eat the vege and didn't eat the hor fun. Just ate the meat and mihun.

One curry puff each. Thong Kee curry puffs are softer but these two curry puffs have small pieces of chicken meat inside.

From Fah Lian herbs shop in oug, bought 6 tea eggs MYR 1.5 nett x 6 and 1 jar bottle of herbal jelly MYR 9 nett.

See Ham Curry Noodles

On Monday 8.jul.2024, went to eat the cockles aka see ham curry Noodles that he always talk about at Chan Sow Lin because we thought there will be less people on a public holiday but we were wrong. There was a long queue when we arrived so I went and buy takeaway to eat the noodles at home instead.

*** Girl & Mommy Curry Mee ***

11.21 am - placed my order at 10.23 am and received my order at 10.48 am which is a 25 minutes wait.

The above is Big Mac Curry Mee MYR 23 nett. It has lots of see ham aka cockles. Other ingredients are siew yuk and deep fried ju pei aka skin. The curry is red but it is just a bit spicy so I, who cannot stand spicy food, am ok to eat it. I ordered yellow mee and mihun mixed but was given mihun and horfun so he cooked two packs of Maggi mee instant noodles to eat with this curry.

We shared one bowl and I drank all the remaining curry broth. The cockles are very fresh and naturally springy. I wonder what food were fed to the cockles for them to be so naturally bouncy and springy.

10.26 am - closed on Sunday. Can you see photo 1 on the stall with lots of cockles? That is the curry noodles that I bought for MYR 23 nett.

10.25 am - Chan sow lin girl & mommy curry noodles is located in an industrial area with no available parking spots. Many people in the queue waiting for seats.

11.28 am - I also bought pork ribs curry no noodles, beef tendon tripe no noodles and fish paste dumplings no noodles. The pork ribs curry is on the sweet side with lots of melted onions in it so it is tasty. These 3 items cost MYR 40 nett so total price paid is MYR 63 nett.

11.50 am - this is the remaining instant noodles he cooked.

11.50 am - I ate the instant noodles with the beef tendon and tripe. Very tasty because the tendon and tripe are cooked until very soft so they are very suitable for my weak teeth.

11.43 am - one piece of tendon and two pieces of tripes with my portion of remaining curry soup with the instant noodles he cooked.
