Smoky BBQ Chicken Wrap

On Friday 7.jun.2024, went to midvalley mall to sell a pre loved electronic item to CEX.

*** Pop Corn Chapfan ***

10.49 am - after he sold the pre loved item, he ate chapfan no rice at the chapfan stall in Pop Corn Food Court while I waited for traveling Duck to open at 11 am to use up one MYR 5 voucher we received yesterday. 2 meat dishes and 1 vege dish is MYR 14 nett.

11.11 am - the voucher can only be used for the set lunch. One voucher for one set lunch. As he has already eaten chapfan, both of us shared one duck rice set lunch with steamed egg; chicken paste seaweed soup; tea and dessert soya drink with jelly in it. After deducting MYR 5 from the MYR 26.88++ I paid MYR 26.20 nett for one set lunch.

*** Family Mart  midvalley ***

12.34 noon - after buying a pack of shavers MYR  7.90 nett and 2 rolls of large bags MYR 31.8 nett from Mr DIY we went to eat snacks at family mart. 

My honey yuzu ice cream MYR 3.90 nett is a bit sourish with what I feel is honey melon taste. I quite like it but he doesn't. He ate his usual chocolate ice cream MYR 3.90 nett. Family Mart has setup a few self ordering and self payment kiosks so I used one self service kiosk when buying food and paying for food.

1.26 pm - bought this smoky BBQ Chicken Wrap MYR 8.50 and ate it when we got home. I like the chicken breast meat in this wrap. It has carrots and mayo sauce. The smoky bbq taste is quite strong. Will try more wraps with different fillings from family mart because my friend says the wraps are nice to eat and she always buy them for her children.

Bought one classic tuna sandwich MYR 5.90 nett which we shared one each as there are two in one pack. After that I ate one tea egg, 6 to 8 pineapple rolls and 1 satsuma.

Movie Date

On Thursday 6.jun.2024, we went on a movie and food date at PBJ.

9.26 am - since he has eaten similar dishes in about 3 eateries, I suggest that he tries it here too:

Curry Double Lava Egg Toast MYR 9.90+

9.28 am - breakfast set MYR 12.90+ of a hot drink, 2 soft boiled eggs and 1 kaya butter toast.

9.33 am - fried chicken meat kampung meehoon MYR 17.90+ is our must order dish which we order almost everytime we ate here.

10.23 am - we shared all the food and I ate all the curry gravy with meehoon. Total: MYR 47.20 nett.

10.45 am - movie time. Simple straightforward movie. 2 x MYR 15 nett plus MYR 1 online processing fees.

1.26 pm - when to mrdiy to buy wall tile stickers and saw this tea menu of Seniman eatery.  Very tempting. 

*** Traveling Duck PBJ ***

1.41 pm - there is a promo of a foc MYR 5 voucher for each set lunch MYR 26.88++ so he ordered duck ramen set. Total price for 2 sets is about MYR 62 ish. Set lunch is available on weekdays only from 11 am to 3.30 pm.

1.41 pm - my set is Kung bo beef rice. Tastes good 💯 I took home half portion of the rice and his ramen to freeze for another day.

Went to food merchant supermarket to see whether there is anything worth buying. Bought a box set of 2x200 g nescafe gold with foc 100 g alta rica for MYR 81.90 nett.

Parking fees: MYR 6 from about 9.20 am to 2.50 pm. About 3 pm, got home. A nice day.

Cake and Coffee

On Wednesday 5.jun.2024, he bought takeaway Canton-Z lunch of siew yuk char siew rice for the elderly.

10.11 am - wonder why are there two lovely purplish flowers in the grass so took a photo of them. Image search says this could be either Ruellia tuberosa or Ruellia Simplex.

*** Canton-Z Jalan lazat***

10.33 am - 2 sets of siew yuk char siew rice and I ordered one plate of roast chicken breast meat without rice and without any sauce but forgot to say no oil too so they poured some oil onto the chicken meat. I helped him finish up half portion of his rice. Total is MYR 25 nett.

10.47 am - saw this new cafe nearby Canton-Z. May visit this cafe one day.

11.12 am - lemon curd millicrepe cake MYR 18 nett and black coffee with no milk no sugar MYR 14 nett. The cake tastes good, not very sweet.

Because I request for coffee which tastes a bit sourish. This coffee is served hot but I request for ice so was given just one round ice sphere in a separate glass. Coffee tastes good but my tongue is not sensitive enough to taste the separate fruit taste.

12.15 noon - he ordered a mini assam laksa MYR 6.80 nett. I ordered 2 curry puffs MYR 3.80 nett for two.

12.18 noon - I also ordered a bubur cha Cha ice less sweet MYR 7.50 nett for both to share. Kwong Wah at pavilion bkt jalil doesn't have this bubur cha Cha ice on their menu. The assam laksa bowl is so small so the amount is just enough for both of us to have a taste of assam laksa since we both ate lunch earlier.

As it was around after school, we were stuck in traffic and bumper to bumper traffic from 1.07 to 1.22 pm on a short stretch of road.

1.48 pm - he bought 1 deep fried banana, 1 cekodok pisang and 2 nian gao sweet potato from a popular road side cart for us to share.

2.03 pm - melted nian gao.

He also bought 2 herbal tea and 8 tea eggs MYR 24 in total so I ate one tea egg to wrap up my meals for the day.

On Tuesday 4.jun.2024, early morning went to Thong Kee Sri Petaling for my omad.

8.33 am - He ordered 1 curry puff MYR 2.30, 1 kaya puff MYR 2.80, 2 soft boiled eggs MYR 3.60, 1 hot cham drink MYR 3.30 so total is MYR 12 nett.

I prefer the curry puff to the kaya puff because the kaya doesn't have the strong fragrant taste of coconut, it is just sweet and the butter of the kaya puff multilayer fluffy crispy pastry has a somewhat light twang floral fragrance which I am not used to the butter twang.

8.35 am - our favourite prawn chicken slice hor fun soup MYR 9 nett. Chicken meat slices are more affordable than whole chicken parts meat. I don't feel thirsty after drinking the soup so I can say they didn't use msg.

8.36 am - the hot cham drink and MYR 6 nett for my chicken breast meat without rice and without any sauce. After that we walked back to our car which was parked right outside Wang Yee Wang so he went into Wang yee Wang and bought takeaway dinner.

Mutton wanton mee

On Monday 3.jun.2024, we went to New Lian Hin for breakfast and then walked to Hou's Kopitiam for coffee.

9.40 am - he ordered garlic bread with wobbly eggs MYR 7.9 nett.

9.29 am - my mutton dry wanton noodles MYR 16.90 nett. He tried a bit and says the gravy has mutton taste so he didn't eat the noodles as he doesn't like the taste of mutton. We shared the small portion of curry noodles MYR 10 nett. The big portion costs MYR 12 nett. His hot Cham drink costs MYR 2.6 so total price is MYR 37.40 nett.

9.23 am - this is the stall we bought our noodles from.

10.17 am - after our breakfast, we walked to drink my salted butter coffee MYR 5 nett. I also ordered red bean tong sui which has orange peel taste which he likes. The deep fried wantons go well with red bean tong sui.

Sweet Sour Vinegar Trotter

On Sunday 2.jun.2024, went to midvalley mall and bought things to send to my friend. Before that we ate breakfast at Bangsar. Early dinner at Fatty mok eatery on the way back.

8.49 am - I ordered a plate of char siew MYR 12 nett. Sweet salty firm meat with firm fatty bits.

8.50 am - we sat right in front of this char siew roast chicken stall as the coffee shop is full.

8.50 am - he ordered a set of hot Cham drink, 2 eggs, butter kaya toasts MYR 8.8 nett and our favourite gooey 3jc dry noodles. 

8.52 am - when they served the two eggs in hot water, they gave the instructions to wait for 7 minutes before eating the eggs for them to be soft boiled eggs.

9.08 am - we noticed this new branch of pedal spot shop.

9.26 am - long queue at Oriental Kopi as usual.

9.28 am - omega pork noodles shop is now in midvalley mall where mph used to be located, near to Go Noodles.

9.42 am - cex is now at midvalley mall too so it is convenient for everyone to sell their preloved items here.

11.35 am - I ordered the set with curry noodles, cendol and pandan chicken MYR 29.70 nett which we shared. Then I bought a large glass of coffee o kosong iced MYR 5.5 nett from the drinks stall because I am afraid the cendol may be too sweet which it isn't so I need the coffee to clear my mouth of the too sweet taste.

11.51 am - the minced pandan chicken tastes similar to rendang otak otak.

1.03 pm - bought this bowl of vinegar trotter MYR 24.50 nett and pour the whole bowl into my container to send to my friend.
