*** Lotus Roots Desserts ***

My friend sent me a photo of the lotus root stuffed with glutinous rice dessert that my friend made. I used to eat this lotus root dessert when as a child.

From online:
"Glutinous rice stuffed lotus root, commonly known in Chinese as Nuo Mi Ou (糯米藕) or Honey Lotus Root, is a traditional dessert made of tender lotus root slices filled with sweet, sticky rice and smothered in a fragrant, dark sugar syrup. It is often served cold or at room temperature, particularly during festive occasions like the Mid-Autumn Festival or Chinese New Year, symbolizing unity and prosperity.

Osmanthus syrup or honey is frequently drizzled on top before serving for a floral aroma."

I have not seen the ready product being sold here. Need to buy from overseas.
