YuBake

On Tuesday 21.jun.22, ordered 2 Foodpanda deliveries and went out to buy pan Mee that is specially requested by the elderlies but the pan Mee stall is closed.

*** Pandan layer cake ***

1 pm - this pandan layer cake from YuBake is tasty. I saw it on Foodpanda and want to eat it so I bought it. Will buy it again.

Since I am buying the pandan layer, might as well I buy more cakes so I bought a cheese Taro cake. The top layer is non bake cheese cake and the middle layer is taro paste. The bottom layer is the cookie crust base which has honey or maybe caramel in it because it is quite sweet. I prefer baked cheese cake but I keep forgetting about it so I keep buying non baked cheese cake.

A box of 3 cakes from Yu Bake.

The chocolate cake is for him to eat during tea time.

After discounts, the total price of the 3 cakes is around MYR 35 so it is about MYR 11.70 per slice.

*** Ipoh Chicken Noodle stall ***

10.30 am - we shared this Lam Mee from Tuck Tuck Tei for late breakfast. The default noodles is thick fat noodles. The broth reminds me of the broth of kway Chap which is also dark in colour with 5 spice taste.

Ordered lam yee Mee and Ipoh chicken drumsticks hor fun for the Elderlies but got a call requesting pan Mee from swee hing coffee shop for lunch so we kept the above noodles for our meals and went out to swee hing coffee shop to buy takeaway pan Mee. Average price of each pack of noodles after discount is about MYR 11.80 with foc delivery fees.

Wanted to buy thong Kee Ipoh chicken hor fun but it is closed on Foodpanda so ordered from Tuck Tuck Tei coffee shop instead.

*** Sweet Hing coffee shop ***

The pan Mee stall at swee hing coffee shop is closed for the day so no pan Mee for the Elderlies.

  1. this is the lum mee that i usually see/eat, instead of the Cantonese style egg gravy. So the taste is like kuey chap? I thought kuey chap is darker colour (very long time didn't eat, can't recall how it was like)....with more diluted gravy?

    1. Kway Chap gravy has more spices and herbs taste. This is lighter but I think depends on sellers. Pg lor Mee or ulu Yam lor Mee has dark coloured gravy. Lam Mee gravy is also dark coloured. Now in very few places still can find light colour gravy for kl lor Mee. Need to google search for the places.

  2. The elderlies seem to be getting fresh food... they don't store food for many days (like you do)?

    1. The elderlies prefer not to store food because they believe it is not good to health. They will only store food if kid 1 or kid 4 accidentally bought too much lunch or dinner for them and the food is of value. We try to feed them just enough for that meal so that they don't need to have remaining food.
