The last time we went to
Kim Lian Kee, Gardens Mall is back in 2015. This time we went there for their Loh Mee at MYR 15.90++ (10% service charge and 6% SST = MYR 18.45 nett). Verdict is that the Loh Mee is acceptable.
Signature Hokkien Mee (kway teow mixed mee) at MYR 15.90++ (MYR 18.45 nett). Back in 2015, this plate of noodles
cost MYR 15.05 nett only. Taste is about the same. So if one wants to eat Loh Mee and Hokkien Mee in Gardens Mall, one can eat at Kim Lian Kee but do expect the price to be higher and taste to be similar as good hawker stalls.
Total price for 2 pax for 2 bowls of noodles is MYR 36.90 nett. Both of us should just shared one portion of noodles, not two because two is just too much.
Yes, the prices are indeed higher than most...and they look lighter too, not so dark.
ReplyDeleteboth points are spot on.
DeleteInteresting.
ReplyDeleteSharing a plate is indeed cost-effective for two small eaters. :)
ya!
DeleteThere is a place in Damansara Uptown that also serves Loh Mee. Perhaps I ought to visit and check it out.
ReplyDeleteI wonder which shop it is.
DeleteYa prices are on the high side.
ReplyDeleteonce in a while close eyes to price and just eat.
