Recently I noticed that the Original Cake kiosk at Midvalley Mall is no longer in business. The branch at One Utama has been replaced by a porky eatery chain. I wonder are there any other branches still in operations.
It will be replaced by Instea, a local brand, not one imported from overseas. Will there be a queue when it opens?
The Taiwan thing that a whole lot of people queued for? In the first place, it is not even all that nice, dunno what all that excitement was all about.
ReplyDeleteyes.
DeleteHere also same thing. When first opened, everyone was crazy and queue up for it. Now the outlet is rather empty.
ReplyDeletewonder when it will close.
DeleteThe Ah Mah Traditional Sponge Cake at Starling also closed recently.

DeleteWonder if the sponge cake outlet at city square jb still in operation or not

DeleteThe one in Mines also bungkus quite some time dy
ReplyDeleteoh, that is indeed sad.
DeleteYes I noticed the one in 1Utama being replaced with that House of Pok. Have you dined there? I saw quite a crowd. They also have an outlet at Sunway Giza. I havent try them out yet.
ReplyDeleteyes, I have eaten at the branch in Midvalley. The pok dishes are ok ok only.
DeletePeople are still queuing up for soft sponge cakes in Taipei!!
ReplyDeleteI wonder why our locals have lost their interest after few months. Perhaps it is different culture and taste buds.

DeleteBusinesses come and go so fast these days.
ReplyDeletevery true.

ReplyDeleteyou don't feel that they are expensive?
DeleteNot really, since size is big.
