On Saturday we went for lunch at about 2pm so many of the stalls were closing and we ended up in On On Bak Kut Teh coffee shop. My spouse ordered a bowl of curry noodle from the stall that sells
Home Made Fsh Balls noodle and was told that the following day (Sunday) would be their last day of business because they have decided to retire from selling noodles.
Smoked Duck Udon - MYR8 - from another stall
Curry Noodle - MYR6 - from the same stall of the homemade fish balls.
Ordered a sesame chicken drumstick to share - MYR4
Good bye to this Fish Balls noodle stall
That's how I like my curry noodles. With the kerang on top. Argh. Makes me feel like eating it now :(
ReplyDeleteNow I know you like to eat kerang.
DeleteThe sesame chicken drumstick looks awesome and it's a steal at RM 4! My chap fan stall wants to charge me RM 4 for a drumstick too and it's herbal drumstick which is smaller than this one.
ReplyDeleteI think the photo makes it look bigger. I don't think it is bigger than the usual chicken drumstick.
DeleteWah the curry mee looks so kao and lots of liew.. I love those kerang and would usually ask for more kerang and foo pok for my curry mee..
ReplyDeleteYou also like submerryn likes kerang.
Deleteyuummmmmzzz.....i like the noodles & chicken drumstick! unfortunately, i dun take kerang...will usually request to replace kerang with sliced fishcake in my curry noodles.
ReplyDeleteFinally someone does not like kerang.
DeleteOooo...smoked duck! I super-duper likey!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCan really taste the smokey taste. Nice!
Deleteoooh... curry noodle is my fav! I love it!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear that!
Deleteoooh.. the curry noodles looks heavenly!! it's so loaded with ingredients and I can see the soup is so rich, must be so so so delicious!! hmm, too bad they have decided to close down.. retired from selling noodles, but are they going to do something else??
ReplyDeleteNo idea because they didn't tell and we didn't want to pry.
DeleteThe curry noodle looks good! Look at that generous amount of bacons! Such pity they closed down and no one take over.
ReplyDeleteFish cake not bacon.
DeleteNice that you are able to catch them before they retire and goyang kaki at home ;)
ReplyDeleteYa or else the next time we go there we will get a shock to see the stall not there anymore.
DeleteBusiness must be not that good (or is it that the owners are old) for them to consider retiring (since you didn't comment on the taste of that curry).
ReplyDeleteI am not particular about curries. Not too salty, not too spicy is fine with me.
DeleteCurry noodles!! Gee....I want it badly despite I am under the weather now.
ReplyDeleteHot spicy curry can clear up blocked noses but not cure headaches.
DeleteThat drumstick looks good, fat and juicy!
ReplyDeleteThat photo is deceiving.
DeleteBoth bowls of noodles look very yummy and delicious to me and the drumstick too...so sad that they have to close.
ReplyDeleteI am sad too cos now I won't get my clear fish balls mee hoon soup.
DeleteThis is my first time hearing smoked duck udon! I would eat them all esp the curry mee!
ReplyDeleteYou sure like all types of noodles.
DeleteYou've got a piece of history. Lucky you to be there on the very last day.
ReplyDeleteWe wouldn't have known if they didn't tell us.
DeleteThe curry noodles looks pretty good and substantial. Too bad not selling anymore.
ReplyDeleteI prefer their clear soup fish noodle mee hoon because I can't eat very spicy food. Now no clear soup mee hoon to eat.
DeleteHope it will be replaced by another nice stall... next time you can come and have a look.. :)
ReplyDeleteJust been there. No new stall yet.
