WG Tujoh Cafe

Set Lunch from 11 am to 3 pm on weekdays Monday to Friday excluding Public Holiday. Which one would you choose?

My friend did not see any dish that she fancies on the set lunch menu so she chose Chicken Teriyaki Sandwich from the ala carte menu at MYR 22 nett. Her portion of fries is bigger than the portion in the set lunch as can be seen in the photo below. Unfortunately she does not eat cheese and there is a slice of melted cheese on the chicken so she has to do her best to scrap off that slice of cheese to give to another friend. Her comment is that the chicken is quite tasty.

My order from the set lunch menu - cheesy beefy wrap at MYR 12 nett with a glass of cold lemonade. The amount of fries and salad is just right for a small eater. I ate one piece of the wrap and kept another piece for dinner. The strong taste of minced beef goes well with the cheesy zesty sauce that reminds me of thousand island dressing with cheese so this is a satisfying lunch at such a good price.

Vegetarian burger (set lunch) where the patty is made from potatoes at MYR 12 nett.

A glass of lemonade which is included in the set lunch and a delicious cup of flat white according to my friend  who added MYR 4 nett to upgrade her lemonade to coffee.

Total price for 4 pax is MYR 62 nett so it is an average of MYR 15.50 nett per pax.

Then the 4 of us shared a slice of Earl Grey Mille Crepe at MYR 13.90 nett. The cake is so soft and fresh that our fork cuts through the cake effortlessly into 4 portions. One rose petal landed on my portion and the sweet scent of rose filled my mouth.

4 of us can only stomach one slice of cake although we wish to try more slices of cakes as the cakes look so tempting especially the cendol cake.

Tujoh Cafe at Sec 17, PJ.

This old shop house design has a courtyard in the middle of the building which this cafe fully utilised to let in natural sunlight for the tall leafy heliconia plants to flourish giving the place a green soothing look.

The other part of the cafe is dim and cosy with the warm glow of the yellow light bulbs. A nice place to rest and relax with a cup of coffee and a slice of cake while catching up with friends.

  1. I passed by this cafe before. We did not stop as we were heading to another place that time. Maybe I should make another trip here and try the mille crepe cake. I love that.

  2. Beef and squid are out for me and I only eat green curry with rice not pasta, so I am left with grilled fish with lemon sauce.

    Love the mille crepe cake.

  4. Your cheesy beef wraps looked like a very small serving. That would be my choice actually. But with a slice of mille crepe, it should fill me up just fine hee..hee..

    1. I think the lunch set is small so that customers can enjoy their desserts too without feeling stuffed.

    1. My friend who likes Earl Grey taste says that it tastes very nice. It was not "fakely" strong so I like it too.

  9. Nice place and nice food. Which one would I choose... definitely NOT the vegetarian burger, and your wrap looks rather small. Everything else looks fine.
