Suria KLCC: The entrance to a traditional village (same concept as the CNY decor at MyTown) - a gateway made of bamboo. This looks so much better than last year's CNY decor.
This is the centerpiece in this decor - the main traditional house with lanterns and two "Fai Chun" (揮春) - red banners with wishes - at each side of the wooden door.

Can you spot those rattan flat round trays with grains/seeds in them to dry under the sun as part of the decor?
Pavilion and houses on the right side of the village
Looking at the left side of the village
Large flowers made with rattan fans as petals hanging above the village. There are so many flowers that it must have taken a lot of effort to make these flowers.
Compare this huge CNY decor structure outside KLCC with the one last year. Which one do you prefer?
When I see this structure, I think of the queens in Alice in Wonderland minus the head.
Wow. KlCc is really all out for the cny deco. I was there when they put up the Christmas deco in 2017.
ReplyDeleteAlmost all the malls in KL went all out for cny decor.
DeleteThe decor inside was nice. That structure outside looks like some bad guy in some Japanese anime cartoons, luckily it was not black in colour - the one last year was not all that nice either.
ReplyDeleteIf it is in black, then it will be what you described. I agree that both the structures last year and this year do not look nice so I think they should just remove the structure for the giant Christmas tree after Christmas and not decorate it for CNY.
DeleteLove the decor.
ReplyDeleteEven the giant structure?
DeleteLOL, queens in Alice in Wonderland minus the head! ROFL!!
ReplyDeleteSTP has a better description!
DeleteThat's a pretty 'village'.
ReplyDeleteThe giant structure outside looks weird. At least last year's is a recognisable shape.
The village this time is well done. The giant structure is like a joke. Quite meaningless I would say.
DeleteNot bad the decor. I like those rattan fan flowers.
ReplyDeleteI think this time the decor is the best in KLCC. The rattan fan flowers are from a very creative mind.
DeleteThe traditional village decor is very nice, must have taken a lot of work and time to put up the decor.
ReplyDeleteI think so too. They really put effort into this decor.
DeleteSigh. It has been our ritual to bring my in-laws to Pavilion on the first day of CNY but this year we did not get to do that. My FIL wasnt feeling well and little Ayden fell ill on the 2nd day of CNY. We came back straight to KL so not to spread whatever virus he was having to the old folks. So we had a very quiet CNY this year recuperating at home.
ReplyDeletehealth is most important so must rest and get well fully and strengthen the body. CNY can wait and there is always next year.
DeleteI like this kind of village concept
ReplyDeletenot bad.
