Nasi Lemak (Coconut milk rice) bought from a stall in Swee Hing coffee shop, Sri Petaling with acar (pickled vegetables) and curry chicken - at about MYR7.
Nasi Lemak from the same stall but with curry potatoes only - at about MYR6.50 and is quite tasty.
I asked for no sambal, no gravy, no sauce with the usual hard boiled egg (half), two slices of cucumber, peanuts, deep fried anchovies and a small portion of coconut milk rice which is so rich until I prefer it to be less so. Very "lemak" taste. Add ons are curry potatoes, pickled vegetables (acar) and stink bean (petai) onion sambal. Price is MYR8 nett. Since the portion of rice is small, I kept half of the stink bean, acar, peanuts and anchovies for dinner to be eaten with congee.
This is the stall - Kim Hung Nasi Lemak at Swee Hing Coffee shop
I like nasi lemak very much, I like the first set with curry chicken
ReplyDeleteBy the way, how was your National Day (Public Holiday)?
Fine, thank you for asking.
DeleteVery lemak? Ooooo...I would love it very much then? Chinese-run nasi lemak stall? Here, so far, I've only come across one and it was quite good.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think you would like it but maybe not up to your very high standard. There are quite many here.
DeleteI will go for the 1st set of nasi lemak. Looks so delicious!
ReplyDeleteYou like curry chicken I guess.
DeleteI love nasi lemak. Can go with fried chicken or curry chicken. Your packed nasi lemak so packed and hardly xan see the rice.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, that is because the new container is so shallow.
DeleteLOL. You had no sambal, no gravy and no sauce. That's quite plain as I always asked for extra-extra sambal to burn my lips.
ReplyDeletehahaha Can give the sambal to you.
DeleteI'd pick the first option too. :p
ReplyDeletecos looks like a lot of curry sauce, ya :)
